Today’s Prayer: Lord, grants us the faith to believe in our heart, to confess with our lips, to confirm with our works that the covenant of God is in our flesh and bones, so that others, seeing our good works, might magnify our Father who is in heaven, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Saturday is starting off well. I find myself in Somerset, PA. It was my stopping point yesterday after a long and frustrating drive. I will set out in a little while to finished the rest of my journey to Cambridge, OH and Christ Our Light Parish, where I will begin a parish mission this evening. I would ask you to keep the faith community at Christ Our Light in your prayer the next four days that they might celebrate a faith filled time of mission and if you could include an extra prayer for their preacher it would be greatly appreciated!
My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless all our endeavors, our encounters, our travels, our times of solitude, our moments of busyness and our times of rest. May this day be what we need it to be. May it be a gift from God that enables us to find the present of God in our life, especially within ourselves! Have a great Saturday and don’t forget to give a little time to God this weekend. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, show your mercy to us and gladden our hearts. We are like the person on the way to Jericho who was overtaken by robbers, wounded, and left for dead. O Good Samaritan, come to our aid. We are like sheep that have gone astray. O Good Shepherd, seek us out and bring us home in accord with your will. Let us dwell in your house all the days of our lives and praise you for ever and ever. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. Jerome)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Friday has gotten off to a good start? I hit the road again later this morning as I will be making my way today to Cambridge, Ohio where I will begin a parish mission on Saturday. I have a few things to do this morning here at home and then I have mass at the Wartburg Home at 11:00 am after which I will leave for Ohio. I will drive part of the way today. Please keep me in your prayers today that I might have safe travel.
My prayer of blessing today is that we will have a great day, with many blessings as we make our way through this last day of the work week. May it be one that runs smoothly and peacefully with many graced moments! May we all be blessed with the strength of God to guide us, the power of God to uphold us, the wisdom of God to enlighten us. Many blessings today wherever you are, upon whatever you are or will be doing and whomever you are with. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Great and awesome God, bless us today with the gifts of your mercy and forgiveness not just for our own lives but that these gifts will be alive within us. Help us to be your disciples who bring a positive attitude and voice to the world today. Grace us with the wisdom to find the goodness in ourselves and the people we encounter. Guide us so that we do not respond to a negative with a negative. Make us workers who help to build your peaceable Kingdom as we live our life today! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Thursday is starting off well especially for those of you who live in the New York area after yesterday's afternoon and evening storm. We did not get the rain they forecasted and the snow is still with us but we are to get warmer as the day goes along so perhaps it will be gone by this evening. Whatever kind of weather you are dealing with may it not get in the way of your journey through this day!
My prayer of blessing today is that your day will be filled with the richness of God's blessings. May you have a day blessed with a strong faith, life-giving hope, rich love and energizing joy. Be well and safe everyone and have a great Thursday! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O most gentle Jesus, deliver us from all evils, past, present and future. Give us a lively faith, a strong hope and endless love today, so that we may love you with all our heart, and all our soul, and all our strength. Make us steadfast in good works and grant us perseverance in your service, so that we may please you always. Amen. (Adapted from the prayer by St. Clare of Assisi)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Wednesday is starting off well? We are expecting a mix of snow, sleet and rain today but not until the afternoon and evening hours. It has the potential to be messy. I hope the weather by you is a little better?
Our launch of our new project/show, Through The Cross with Fr. Paul seemed to go well yesterday. It was quite an experience and I have a lot to learn about a livestream show of this nature, but it was a beginning and you have to start somewhere. The show was an internal broadcast meaning it was only to Passionists. However, our next show on March 5th will be an external show for everyone. More news about it later. My prayer of blessing today is – May God bless us and make us holy in God’s sight. May the riches of God’s glory abound in us. May God instruct us with the word of truth, inform us with the Gospel of salvation, and enrich us with divine love, through Christ our Lord. Amen Have a great Wednesday everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, Jesus Christ, let me seek you by desiring you, and let me desire you by seeking you. Let me find you by loving you and love you by finding you. I do not seek to understand so that I can believe, but I believe so that I may understand. And, what is more, I believe that unless I do believe, I shall not understand. Amen (Prayer by St. Anselm of Canterbury)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Tuesday is starting off well although for many today might seem like Monday because of the long weekend with President’s Day yesterday. Yesterday was a long day for me and I am still feeling the effects of being up for over 24 hours. I am hoping today will feel a little more normal even though it will be a busy day!
I would ask your prayers today for Passionist Communications and for me as we launch a new project and program on the internet. Today’s program is just for Passionists but on March 5th we will be launching the program to everyone. So, if you could remember us in your prayers today and perhaps join us on March 5th! More information about that later. As I journey through the busyness of my Tuesday, I will keep you in my prayers. I pray – that God may give us a “worry free” day – that God will bless us all with the richness of his grace and love – that any journeys today will be safe, swift and easy – that our encounters with others will be life giving and productive – and that our journey through this Tuesday will be filled with smiles. Thus, may God bless our day with the Spirit of “Don’t Worry – Be Happy!” Have a great day with many blessings! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul |
