​Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope and pray you are navigating through this last day of February and these early days of Lent with faith and hopefulness for the future.
 
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer…
 
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of All People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
 
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

My prayer of blessing for all of us today comes from our readings at mass that God’s blessing will be upon us all this day, so that the Word of God may be planted and nourished within us throughout this day and that we may bring this joyful word wherever we go and to whom ever you encounter! Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen! Just a note – Today is an important feast day for us Passionists, it is the Feast of St. Gabriel Possenti of Our Lady of Sorrows– a Passionist Saint, who is patron of youth. He died of tuberculosis at the age of 24 before he was ordained. Millions of pilgrims visit St. Gabriel's shrine in Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia near Teramo each year.
 
My prayer of blessing this morning is for all of you out there beginning a new work week, a new school week, a new Monday! May God’s blessings be with you in whatever you encounter, in whomever you encounter and wherever your day takes you. Help us to think before we write especially when we are writing about others. Help us to act, respond and live as people committed to compassion, life and love. Make us aware of your presence in everyone we meet, make us aware of your presence in ourselves. Fill us with words and actions today that bring about your Spirit of life! Amen!

In our moments of choice and decision help us to choose wisely. Have mercy on us when we don't. Remind us amid our struggles to always call upon your name for help. Enrich us with your gift of hope that will enable us to always remember your love. Amen!

May today be filled with blessings the kind that help us recognize God in our midst and help us to look beyond ourselves to the needs of others. May we never do anything for show but for the honor and glory of the kingdom. May what we do always reflect a concern for others. Be with us always and when we struggle may we always hear your voice say, "Do not fear, here I am!" Amen!
