Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all. The ashes have faded from our foreheads and are we are now ready to begin our journey through Lent.
I hope and pray you are beginning to navigate through these Lenten and late February days with faith and a hopefulness for the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would like to pause and remember my mother today on this 106th anniversary of her birth. February 23rd was always a special day and I tried never to forget it especially in the last years of her life. Mom, have a wonderful birthday today in heaven! Enjoy yourself and know that we love you and miss you! My prayer of blessing for today is that God will bless us with the energy to be joyful people today. That we will see the gift of the road that we have chosen and celebrate that gift with all we meet. May we choose life and blessing all day today, by taking up our cross with the strength of our faith, the energy of our hope and the richness of our love! Blessing to all today. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God of Life, as we stand before the roads that this day presents to us, enliven us with the wisdom to choose the road of life. As we walk this road less travel keep us ever mindful that we are not alone that you walk with us. Strengthen us for the crosses, the challenges of this road. Grace us with the hope that we will always find your presence, your forgiveness, your mercy, your truth and your love as we make this journey. May we choose the road of life today and let it make all the difference in our life and in the lives of all we meet! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all on this Ash Wednesday – welcome to Lent! I hope you will find the time today to say a little prayer and to be signed by ashes that will send you on your own journey of Lent.
I also hope and pray you will navigate through these Lenten days with faith and hopefulness for the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today comes from the liturgy itself – I pray that God blesses us all with the wisdom to know just how fragile we are that we came from dust and it is to dust that our bodies will return. I pray for God’s blessing of strength that we can turn away from the things that lead us away from God and that we can be faithful to the Gospel. May today be truly a blessed one and may it be the beginning of a wonderful, faith filled journey through Lent. May it be a journey that renews you, strengthens you and enlivens you with the gifts of God's Faith, Hope and Love! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Ash Wednesday Prayer: O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these late February days with faith and hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As we find ourselves beginning Fat Tuesday, or for some the end of Mardi Gras, the last day before entering the long journey of Lent, let us be mindful of what the journey of Lent will call us to – reflection, disciplined and most importantly prayer. As a Passionist I celebrated a special memorial mass this morning that we are always asked to celebrate on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday – The Prayer of Jesus in the Garden. It is our way of preparing for the journey of prayer that Lent needs to be. Enjoy this final day before Lent but also give a little time to preparing for the journey we are about to undertake. My prayer of blessing today is that our Tuesday will be blessed with the presence of God throughout the day. May God bless our work, our interactions with others, our travels, our relationships and most importantly all of us today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, in whom all things live, who commanded us to seek you, who are always ready to be found: to know you is life, to serve you is freedom, to praise you is our soul’s delight. We bless you and adore you, we worship you and magnify you, we give thanks to you for your great glory, though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all and happy Presidents Day! I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these late February days with faith and hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would ask you to keep in your prayers the repose of the soul of Bishop David O’Connell, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angles, who was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in his home. Remember him, his family and friends who morn his loss greatly, the Archdiocese of Los Angles and its people and finally remember all the people he served and helped first as a priest and then as a bishop. He was known as a “peacemaker” and certainly was a bishop who followed the lead of Pope Francis. May he rest now in the peace of God’s Kingdom and may all who morn his passing be comforted! My prayer of blessing today is that our day will be filled with many positives and that the negatives will only be fleeting moments. I pray that God’s blessings will be upon all that we do, upon everyone we meet, everywhere we go and upon everyone we love! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, so many sick; so many starving; so many deprived; so many sad; so many hurting; so many bitter; so many fearful! When we look at You, we hope again. We do truly believe, help our unbelief. O God of infinite compassion, O ceaseless Energy of Love, O Eternal Wisdom grace us with your friendship and hear our faith filled prayer today so that we may help You to reduce the world’s pain. Amen! (Adapted from prayer by George Appleton)

May God recognize our faith and bless us with the trust and willingness to let go and let God. If we are struggling with our faith, may we find the strength to trust in the presence of God in our life. Blessings today upon all we do, upon everyone we meet and most importantly upon all of us. And don’t forget to give God a little time today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, grants us the faith to believe in our heart, to confess with our lips, to confirm with our works that the covenant of God is in our flesh and bones, so that others, seeing our good works, might magnify our Father who is in heaven, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
