Today's Blessing and Pope Francis' Prayer during a time of Virus...

Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and difficult days with a sense of faith and hope in the presence of God.

Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer…

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of All People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis)

My prayer of blessing today is that our day will be full of hope, faith and love. Hope in the Risen Lord whom we find on this Easter journey, faith in the Risen Lord who has called us to this day with all its challenges and struggles and the love of the Risen Lord who always values us as a friend. May we encounter these three virtues in everything that we do today. in ever experience that we have, in every person we think about or encounter in some way. May we not look back or ahead but be present to the moment and the presence of God that we will find in each moment of this day.

Have a blessed, holy, safe and healthy Thursday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord… Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
Loving Father,
Your gifts are many, but our attention span is short.
Your Son changed the world by his love and brought us new hope.
However, still we fail, we become discouraged, and we forget.
We are weak on our own, but your Spirit renews our hearts and souls.
We pray today and always for the understanding of salvation history
that we find in the Acts of the Apostles.
We pray for a sense of deliverance that we find in the Book of Psalms.
We pray for confidence and hope in the future that we find in the Gospel.
We make this prayer alive with Easter joy and ever watchful in the Spirit.
Amen!

Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all and happy feast of St. Catherine of Siena. I pray that you are continuing to navigate through this unusual and difficult day with a sense of hopefulness. We can certainly call upon St. Catherine for help today as she too faced difficult and unusual days during her journey through life.

Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer…

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis)

I pray for St. Catherine’s intercession and prayer and God’s blessings upon all of us today wherever we are, upon whatever we are or will be doing. May we be gifted with a blessed, holy, faith filled and hope filled day rich in the presence and grace of God and with this richness may we all some sense of joy in our life today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Hope in the Risen Christ…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: St. Catherine of Siena, you trusted in Jesus, the Bread of Life, completely, even when it meant struggle and suffering, even when you were faced with and had to do difficult things with bravery. We pray through your intercession today, that we might find that same trust, strength and bravery in the challenges we face today and always. St. Catherine hear our prayer and intercede for us before Jesus today. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by Mary DeTurris Poust)

Today’s Prayer: Lord God, we have no idea where we are going. We do not see the road ahead of us. We cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do we really know ourselves, and the fact that we think we are following your will does not mean that we are actually doing so. But we believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And we hope we have that desire in all that we are doing. We hope that we will never do anything apart for that desire. And we know that if we do this you will lead us by the right road though we may know nothing about it. Therefore, we will trust you always though we may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. We will not fear, for you are ever with us, and you will never leave us to face our perils alone. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by Thomas Merton)

My prayer of blessing this day is that God will bless us with the faith of St. Stephen, the hope of a new day and week and the love of many people in our life.

May we be blessed with God’s presence in our sheltering in place, our work and our solitude and journeying during these difficult days with others at home. May we be graced with much love from the people who mean the most in our life and from God!

Blessings upon everyone have a blessed, holy, safe and healthy Monday and week. You can be assured of my prayers as you journey through these difficult days. I hope you will have a rich and faith filled week! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Christ…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Loving God, our hearts are before us. We try but by ourselves we can do nothing. Grace us with your presence and help us to do what we cannot. Admit us to the inner room of your love. We ask, we seek, we knock. You have given us the command to ask, help us to receive. You have challenged us to seek, enable us to find. You have taught us how to knock, please open the door. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Anselm of Canterbury)
