Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these early summer and June days with faith and hopefulness in the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would ask your prayer today for my niece’s and soon to be nephew-in-law, Bridget and Alex, who will celebrate their marriage this afternoon. May it be a wonderful celebration and many blessings on the new family that will be created today. My prayer of blessing today is that we will have a blessed, holy, and healthy Friday. May it be blessed with grace, hope, life-giving endeavors, and encounters. May it be filled with laughter, fun, joy, rest, and relaxation. May we and all God’s people be safe everywhere you go and in everything you do. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, our benevolent friend, at every moment of our existence you are present to us. You are our loving Savior who is gentle and compassionate. Reach out your healing hand and touch us today. Help us to step beyond the boundaries of what divides and excludes like you. Help us to be present to one another so that our presence, like your presence, may be a strength that heals the wounds of time, and give hope to all people. We make this prayer through the grace of your compassion and love. Amen! (Adapt from a Healing Prayer by the monks at Weston Priory)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I will be traveling today to Minneapolis, MN for my niece’s wedding tomorrow. I would ask your prayers for all traveling to this wonderful celebration and for the bride and groom, Bridget and Alex. I pray for God’s blessings today upon all of us, our work, our ministry, our travels, those whom we meet and those whom we love! May we enjoy the places we go to, the people we encounter and the experiences that we have! May we have a blessed and holy Monday! Remember, “Seek God and you will find God and every good thing as well!” (Meister Eckhart) May you be rich in the spirit of John the Baptist today. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, it is hard sometimes to believe that you are present in this world of ours. But with the help of your grace we do believe it! So, in the spirit of your faithful prophet, John the Baptist today, please help us to live our life in such a way that it will be easier for others to recognize you. When we find doubt, help us to bring a little light. Where we find discouragement, let us be a ray of hope in the darkness. To those who feel estranged and alienated from you and your Church, let us be like a bridge and when we encounter people who have been hurt or feel misunderstood, grace us with the wisdom to leave only the imprint of your healing love and compassion. Loving God, wherever we go and to whomsoever we meet, help us to be an instrument of your compassion, love and peace. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by Sr. Bernice Kuper, S.P.)
