Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to everyone. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessings today is that we will all be able to find a little time for God today – that we will find the pearl of great price or the hidden treasure of life! May God bless our Sunday with much peace. May God’s blessings be upon us all and may our day be filled with many encounters of the presence, grace, and love of God in the form of family, friends, laughter, fun, rest and relaxation! If we need a little quiet time may that be there too! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Open our hearts, O God, and enlighten our minds by the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may seek what is well-pleasing to your will; and so order our doings after your commandments, that we may be found fit to enter into your everlasting joy, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Adapted from a Prayer by St. Bed the Venerable)

Loving God, we pray: that through the glorious Apostle, Saint James, who by reason of his fervent and generous heart was chosen by Jesus to be witness of Christ’s glory on Mount Tabor, and agony in Gethsemane. May James, whose very name means one who steps into the shoes of another and one who follows, help us to obtain this day the strength and compassion we need to be followers of Jesus. May St. James be our inspiration today and may we step into the shoes of Jesus and bring the gift, the treasure of God to all we meet. Amen. Give us steadfast hearts which no unworthy affection may drag downward. Give us unconquered hearts which no tribulations can wear out. Give us upright hearts, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bestow upon us also, O Lord, our God, understanding to know you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you, and a faithfulness that may finally embrace you. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Thomas Aquinas)

He has chosen the lowly - Who are small in this world In his weakness His Glory -In Jesus the Lord We hold a treasure - Not made of gold - In earthen vessels, wealth untold One treasure only, the Lord, the Christ - In earthen vessels.
