Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your day is starting off well. It is a chilly fall day here in the New York area, with rain and wind on their way. Tomorrow will not be such a nice day and unfortunately, I will be traveling through it. I hope the last day in your work week will be a good one!
In these final days of the Synod on Youth in Rome let us continue to keep all who have gathered for it in our prayers. May the Holy Spirit be truly alive within the discussions, deliberations and people of the Synod. I would also ask you to keep all the Passionists gathered in Rome for our General Chapter in your prayers, as them continue to articulate a vision for the future! Once again, I will pray my daily blessing through the words of St. Paul’s from his Letter to the Ephesians. – And so my friends I pray that God will bless all of us today with the strength to live in a manner worthy of the call we have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with everyone we meet through love, always striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace; remembering that we are one Body, one Spirit, and that we are called to one Hope; that we believe in one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of us all, who is over all and through all and in all. May our one God bless us all today and always! Amen! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Come Lord! Come with us: see with our eyes, hear with our ears, think with our mind, love with our heart - in all the situations of our life. Work with our hands, our strength. Take, cleanse, posses, inhabit our will, our understanding, our love. Take us where you will, to do what you will, in your way. For where you are, there will your servants be. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by Evelyn Underhill)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Thursday is starting off well. From all indications we will encounter rather chilly day here in the New York area with perhaps a Nor’easter on the way. I hope the weather by you will be kind to you today.
Mass at the Wartburg Home in Mount Vernon, NY at 11:00 am this morning but I will head into The Sunday Mass office first as I have a lot of paperwork that needs to get done before I hit the road over the weekend. I would ask your continued prayers for the Synod on Youth and the Passionist General Chapter both in Rome and both coming to an end this weekend. May the Holy Spirit be will all involved and help the Church and the Passionist vision for the future! My prayer of blessing today comes from St. Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians – Friends, I kneel before God this morning, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name, I pray that God may grant all of us in the accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith; that we, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that we may be filled with all the fullness of God! – And I also ask God to bless us with a joyful and grace filled day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Grant us God, to know what is worth knowing, to love what is worth loving, to praise what delights you most, to value what is precious in your sight. Do not let us judge by what we see, nor pass sentence according to what we hear, but judge rightly between things that differ and above all to search out and to do what pleases you. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by Thomas A Kempis)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all. I hope this finds you well and enjoying a good start to your day. The weather has certainly changed here in Pelham, you can feel the chill beginning to be a permanent fixture in the air, today we will only be in the mid 50’s and the wind will be brisk out of the northwest. There will be sun off and on so there is something to look forward too!
Please continue to keep the Passionist Community in your prayers as our General Chapter in Rome continues. Also, please offer a prayer for all in Rome for the Synod on Youth. I think both events continue until the weekend. My prayer of blessing today is that wherever life has us and will take us today, whomever we will be with and whatever we will be doing will be blessed with the grace, love and presence of God. Let us enjoy our day, think positive thoughts, wear a smile and trust that God walks, runs, works, plays and journeys with us! Blessings to all. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, give us the strength and courage today and always to be your good and faithful servants. Grace us with the wisdom and spirit to use the gifts and talents you have entrusted us with to bring about your presence in everything we do and to everyone we meet. Help us to be faithful servants of your joy, mercy and love this day and always. Amen!

Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, give us grace to address you with all our hearts as well as with our lips. You are present everywhere; from you no secrets can be hidden. Teach us to fix our thoughts on you, reverently and with love, so that our prayers are not in vain but are acceptable to you, now and always. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by Jane Austen)

I hope the weather by you is life-giving and energizing. My prayer of blessing for all of you today is that as you make your way through your day may it be a good journey. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, to you we offer our praise. Guide us on the right path as we travel upon your earth. Free us from all the evil tendencies that lead our hearts away from your way. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. John Paul II)
