Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday!
I hope you are continuing to navigate through these late November days with faith and hopefulness for the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is… Loving God bless us – Bless us and keep us safe. Let your face shine upon us and show us your compassion especially in those moments when we may struggle. May your love and peace embrace us, all whom we meet and especially those whom we love. May all our journeys be safe, and may we continue to enjoy your gifts of family, friends and rest this day. Amen! Have a great Friday everyone! If you are traveling today, please be safe. Blessings today and always. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God, Creator of all, hear the prayers of your people today. Prayers that seek peace. Prayers that seek truth. Prayers that seek your love. Help us to know what is most important in life amid a world that often speaks to us words that are not life giving, placing importance on the trivial. May we hear with our hearts your words of everlasting life! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thanksgiving and Thursday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these late November days with faith and hope. If you are traveling today or throughout this holiday weekend, please travel safe!
Today, my prayer of blessing will be one that I have offered for a number of Thanksgivings. This Thanksgiving Day I pray that you will always find the blessing of thankfulness in your life. – God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace. We thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life. We thank you for the mystery of creation: for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities: for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. We thank you for this day: for life and one more day to love, for opportunity and one more day to work for justice and peace, for neighbors and one more person to love and by whom be loved, for your grace and one more experience of your presence, for your promise: to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, eternal, loving God, through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. May the blessing of thankfulness be with you as you journey through this Thanksgiving Day and always! I pray that today will be filled with thoughts prayers for family and friends who are most important in our lives and for our nation and world as we fight the viruses of Covid and hate! Be safe, healthy, and well today and always. Pray for peace in our families, our cities, our nations, our World and in ourselves. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God of all thankfulness, your gifts of love and goodness are infinite, help us to pause this day and every day with gratitude for your kindness, mercy and love. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, we call upon the universe to give praise and glory to you, the sun and moon, stars of heaven, shower and dew, all the winds, fire and heat – all these have participated in our lives, accompanied us over and through many troubles and persecutions. Altogether we praise you, O Lord. We acclaim you for your kindness and faithfulness. You make your salvation known in the sight of everyone. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by Fr. Carroll Stuhlmueller, C.P.)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessing to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these cold November Fall days with faith and hopefulness for the future.

Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I have a couple of things to celebrate and/or remember today. I celebrate today the 69th anniversary of my baptism. Yes, 69 years ago on November 22, 1953, 20 days after I was born, thanks to my parents I was dedicated to God this day and welcomed into this wonderful faith community called Church. I remember today that 59 years ago on this day we mourned as a nation the loss of our president. Yes, 59 years ago today President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, as a nation we have digressed into untruth, lies, violence of all kinds. We have a void of leadership in all aspects of our life. We continue to mourn people being shot in our nation not by terrorists, but by one another. Still no gun laws, still no respect for human life, still no peace! My prayer of blessing today for all of us is a simple one…May God look with favor upon all our prayers, needs, petitions and activities today. May God be with us in the day’s trials. May we always have the compassion, support, consolation, peace and love of God in our lives. May God bless us with his presence this day and always. Have a great Tuesday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Take, Lord, receive all our liberty, our memory, understanding, our entire will. Give us only your love and your grace, that's enough for us. Your love and your grace are enough for us. Take, Lord, receive all that we have and possess. You have given all to us, now we return it. Give us only your love and your grace, that's enough for us. Your love and your grace are enough for us. Take, Lord, receive, all is yours now. Dispose of it, wholly according to your will. Give us only your love and your grace, that's enough for us. Your love and your grace are enough for use. Amen. (Prayer adapted from prayer by St. Ignatius Loyola and the lyrics of Fr. John Foley’s song) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these chilly November Fall days with faith and hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today comes from something I ran across a few years ago, it is a blessing prayer that seems to be credited to both St. Thérèse of Liseaux and St. Teresa of Ávila. So, I thank them both for their words of wisdom that I use today… Loving God I prayer for family and friends today, for all who ask me to pray for them or to remember a prayer request that they have, and I pray for all who are in need of prayer today. What follows Lord, is my prayer for them - so please bless them with your presence however they may need it today. For all in need of prayer today – “May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. Today - Amen!” Loving God bless family, friends and all in need today with this prayer! Have a blessed and faith filled Monday everyone! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Mary the dawn, Christ the Perfect Day; Mary the gate, Christ the Heavenly Way! Mary the root, Christ the Mystic Vine; Mary the grape, Christ the Sacred Wine! Mary the wheat, Christ the Living Bread; Mary the stem, Christ the Rose blood-red! Mary the font, Christ the Cleansing Flood; Mary the cup, Christ the Saving Blood! Mary the temple, Christ the temple's Lord; Mary the shrine, Christ the God adored! Mary the beacon, Christ the Haven's Rest; Mary the mirror, Christ the Vision Blest! Mary the mother, Christ the mother's Son By all things blest while endless ages run. Amen. |
