Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope that you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
We not only celebrate the feast of the Transfiguration today, but we continue to remember those who lost their lives over the other day in Lebanon and those who lost their lives 75 years ago in Hiroshima, Japan and three days later in Nagasaki, Japan. We pray that Christ will help us to transfigure our world from violence to peace! Shout out today to Fr. Michael Greene, C.P. on his birthday - Happy Birthday Michael! Many blessings today and always. Have a great day! Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I leave you with this blessing thought for the day, think of it in terms of life if you are not a runner - "If you never have a 'bad' day, you're probably doing something wrong; if you never have a 'good' day, you're definitely doing something wrong.” (Mark Remy) May this day be blessed with the richness of God’s presence and may God touch us with the grace of joy, hope and peace. May God’s grace transfigure us into a wonderful gift to the world that we encounter today. Have a blessed, holy, safe, and healthy Thursday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
