Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings and happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these January days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today I pray that God blesses us all with the grace to be new wines skins that hold the new song of God for the world. May we share that new song with everyone we meet today in our own gifted way. May we smile, may we laugh, may we share our wisdom, may we dream, may we believe, may we hope, and may we always love! In the spirit of Dr. King, may we move toward a world in which all people are valued, all people are free, where hate and division is a distant memory, and where peace is the rule of the day! Blessing upon everyone today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
