Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday blessings and greetings to all! I hope your day is starting off well. Like much of the country it is hot here in Manitowoc. The heat settled in yesterday and like everywhere else it is here to stay for a while. It is a very hazy morning and even though I have not been out yet I am assuming that it is rather muggy. If you are in the midst of this heat wave I hope you are able to stay cool. If you are not in the midst of this heat wave, lucky you – enjoy!
It is the beginning of the sixth day of retreat here in Manitowoc with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity and it is the last full day. Please continue to keep the six sisters and their director in your prayers. It is great appreciated! My prayer of blessing today for all of us is that God will grace us with the strength to somehow help the world take a step closer to peace by living our life with compassion, love and joy today! Please my friends don’t begin this day with hate in your hearts. Don’t see the world through the eyes of the 24-hour news stations. Don’t point your figures and blame. Don’t disrespect others not like you. Allow God’s blessing to touch your life and be a person of peace, of compassion, of hope, of joy and of love today. Be this person today for your family, for your friends, for your faith community, for those you work with, for those you meet, for the world, and for yourself. Have a great Friday everyone, put a smile on your face and trust that you are loved by God even in those moments of struggle. May God bless you today and always and thanks for being the person that you are because you certainly make this world a better place and life worth living! Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

My son catches a flu and turns out he also had bronchitis. I needed to buy medicine. Pediatrician says I continue for another week, I don't remember anymore where we got the money for the second week. Aside from that, doctor's fee and Xray. You see we are lucky if someone rents our truck or sound system but it only happens once in a blue moon. It's hard but I still look at all of this as plain excuses. Maybe I should do more writing jobs. I called a friend and asked if he can get me a singing gig.
