Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope and pray you are navigating through these March Lenten days with faith and hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I am writing to you this morning from New London, New Hampshire where I began a mission yesterday evening by preaching the 5 pm Mass. I will preach two masses today and then formally begin the mission Monday morning. I would ask you to offer a prayer for the faith community here at Our Lady of Fatima and for their preacher! Today March 19th we usually celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary but because it is a Sunday of Lent the feast is transferred to tomorrow Monday March 20th. But I will wish you Happy Feast of St. Joseph today and tomorrow! My prayer of blessing today is a simple one. My God bless us all with the ability to see with the eyes of faith as we journey through this Sunday. May we see the joy of God’s presence in ourselves and others and may we share that joy with all we meet this coming week and always! Have a great Sunday everyone, relax a little and enjoy wherever you are. Please know you are in my prayers always especially during this holy time! Have a blessed and holy Sunday filled with rest and peace! And don’t forget to give God a little time today. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
