A Runner’s Thoughts: Always run open to discovering the strength that you did not know you had, let that strength be the very Spirit of God's presence in your life!

A Runner's Thoughts: Remember the little miracles of God that we encounter during a run are not because we finish but are because we find the courage to begin!
A Runner's Thoughts: As you run today, "Seek God, and you will find God and everything good as well. Yes, with such an attitude you could tread upon a stone, and that would be a more godly thing for you to do than to receive the Body of our Lord." (Meister Eckhart)
A Runner's Thoughts: The more I talk to athletes, the more convinced I become that the method of training is relatively unimportant. There are many ways to the top, and the training method you choose is just the one that suits you best. No, the important thing is the attitude of the athlete, the desire to get to the top. (Herb Elliott) So to in the spiritual life! There are many ways to pray. There are many thing that can help us connect with God but what is most important is our attitude, our desire, our faith and our willingness to let go and let God!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.” (Wilma Rudolph)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “The true but rare runner’s high is a zone that we enter when everything seems to click perfectly, when time stands still, and when we can run almost without effort.” (Amby Burfoot) So to in the spiritual life…
A Runner's Thoughts: “We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.” (Jim Rohn) So remember a run can be a tremendous help to quieting the mind so God can be present!
A Runner's Thoughts: “There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.” (Kristin Armstrong) Think of every run as an opportunity to be born again. Let each run refresh your body and renew your spirit and bring you into God's Presence once again!
A Runner's Thoughts: As you run today remember that running is something that only you can do, no one can do it for you. So make it part of your faith take God with you!
A Runner's Thoughts: I have two thoughts for you today – As you run today take with you whatever image of God that is most important to you and allow that image to accompany you on your run. – And as you run today look for goodness in everyone you encounter. Look for goodness in yourself!
