A Runner’s Thoughts: Run, walk or move through life another in the presence of God. In order to do this, as you run, walk or move through life another way simply imagine God is with you constantly as you move. It does not matter how you image God. Just take whatever image of God you have and allow that image to accompany you on your run, walk or movement through life another way.

A Runner's Thoughts: Running, walking or moving through life another way are a lot like life, sometimes they are energizing and sometimes they are not but they always have meaning!
A Runner's Thoughts: Remember running, walking or moving through life another way can give us spiritual focus. When we run, walk or move through life another way we have the time to be a person of prayer. It can be a prayer of few or many words. It can be one prayer or many prayers. It can be a simple breath that brings God into our being and it can be the exhaustion of giving all to God as we finish our run, walk or movement through life another way.
A Runner's Thoughts: “I always loved running – it was something you could do by yourself and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs.” (Jesse Owens) So – running, walking or moving through life another way can give us an inner strength that can change our life. Just putting in the time, finishing a run, a walk or moving through life another way can have an enlivening effect on your confidence and self-esteem. Running, walking or moving through life another way can also touch us in a spiritual way that makes us aware of God's presence in our life!
A Runner's Thoughts: “The athlete who says that something cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it.” (John Wooden) Remember running, walking or moving through life another way can be a kind of medicine that helps us to change physically, emotionally and spiritually. Running, walking or moving through life another way can be an elixir that enlivens our life with health, hope and the presence of God!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “We all have dreams. In order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort.” (Jesse Owens)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.” (William Barclay, Scottish Theologian)
A Runner’s Thoughts: Remember, as we run, walk or move through life another way, it is not as if God is waiting at the finish line, or the end of the block or back in the driveway or at the side door. Rather, each movement takes us closer to the realization that God's presence - God's grace - is with us already, and we need only to pay attention to that presence. In other words, let us let go of our expectations today as we run, walk or move through life another way and let God! (Adapted from Running the Spiritual Path by Roger Joslin)
A Runner's Thoughts: As you run, walk or move through life another way today look for good in the world that you pass by, look for good in the people you encounter, sense the good in you and know you do not run, walk or move alone, God runs, walks and moves with you!
A Runner's Thoughts: “Every major decision I’ve made in the last eight years has been prefaced by a run. Where else do you get those uninterrupted hours to do nothing but think?” (Casey Neistat) So as we run, walk or move through life another way today let us think of the impossible made possible through hard work, dedication and the prayer that we allow our runs, walks or movements through life another way to become.
