A Runner’s Thoughts: “When we run, we are already so exposed, often nearly naked in our shorts and T-shirts, huffing and puffing, purified by the effort. Briefly removed from the defenses and secrets we maintain in so much of our lives, we feel less need to hide our private thoughts, loves, fears, and stresses. We share.” (Amby Burfoot) – What a beautiful thought for a way to live life!

A Runner’s Thoughts: “For me, as for so many runners, there really are no finish lines. Runs end; running doesn't.” (Dean Karnazes) So too in the spiritual life…days end but life in the presence of God doesn’t!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Struggling and suffering are the essence of a life worth living. If you’re not pushing yourself beyond the comfort zone, if you’re not demanding more from yourself—expanding and learning as you go—you’re choosing a numb existence.” (Dean Karnazes) So too in the spiritual life…
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Endurance comes to those who put in the time, the effort, and the heart.” (Kristin Armstrong) So to in the spiritual life…
A Runner’s Thoughts: We need to always remember that there are different forms of prayer, of communication with God and that they are possible in everything we do, even when we run, walk or move through life another way. So, as I have often said let us allow our run, walk or movement through life another way today to be a prayer of thanksgiving, or a prayer of petition or intercession, or a prayer of praise, or a prayer of struggle, or a prayer seeking help or perhaps just a prayer that says, “Hello God how are you today?”
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Go fast enough to get there, but slow enough to see.” (Jimmy Buffett) Thus, as we run, walk or move through life another way let us look at our run, walk or movement through life another way in this way today, everywhere we put our foot, or wheel, today we will feel the presence of God. God is our friend and our closeness to our friend God is in the placement of our foot, our wheel with each stride or roll we take. We run, walk or move through life another way today knowing that God is underneath us, beside us, with and within us!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Succeeding in running should be seen as an allegory for succeeding in every aspect of life. Set goals, plan out how to achieve them, then stick to the plan.” (Kim Griffin)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “That's the thing about running: Your greatest runs are rarely measured by racing success. They are moments in time when running allows you to see how wonderful your life is.” (Kara Goucher) And so to when we walk or move through life another way and in the spiritual life our best days are when we realize just how much God loves us!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “For every runner who tours the world running marathons, there are thousands who run to hear the leaves and listen to the rain and look to the day when it is suddenly as easy as a bird in flight.” (George Sheehan) So to for all who walk or move through life another way and so too in the spiritual life…
A Runner's Thoughts: “Endurance comes to those who put in the time, the effort, and the heart.” (Kristin Armstrong) So to in the spiritual life…faith comes to those who put in the time, the effort and the heart when it come to a relationship with God. Happy Easter to all runners, walkers or those who move through life in another way rest, relax and enjoy family and friends and believe!
