A Runner’s Thoughts: “There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.” (Kristin Armstrong) And when you get to the soul you will find God! So no matter whether we run, walk or move through life another way we have the chance to find God.

A Runner’s Thoughts: “Running is about finding your inner peace, and so is a life well lived.” (Dean Karnazes) So whether you run, walk or move through life another way find some inner peace today and live life well…
A Runner’s Thoughts: “But with any obstacle in our lives, there are those moments, despite the setbacks, where there is a glimmer of hope.” (Rebekah Gregory) And we live in the light of that hope…
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Struggling and suffering are the essence of a life worth living. If you're not pushing yourself beyond the comfort zone, if you're not demanding more from yourself - expanding and learning as you go - you're choosing a numb existence. You're denying yourself an extraordinary trip.” (Dean Karnazes)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “As athletes, we have ups and downs. Unfortunately, you can't pick the days they come on.” (Deena Kastor) And so to in the spiritual life…As people of faith we have our ups and downs and unfortunately you cannot pick the days they come on. All you can do is be faithful and keep on the journey whether we run, walk or move through life another way!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Crossing the starting line may be an act of courage but crossing the finish line is an act of faith.” (John Bingham) So remember running, walking or moving through life another way and prayer makes you feel powerful, and if you keep trying, you can reach any goal and be a true friend of God!
A Runner’s Thoughts: Remember – “Last is just the slowest winner.” (C. Hunter Boyd) “Runners just do it – they run for the finish line even if someone else has reached it first.” (Anonymous) “The body does not want you to do this. As you run, it tells you to stop but the mind must be strong. You always go too far for your body. You must handle the pain with strategy… It is not age; it is not diet. It is the will to succeed.” (Jacqueline Gareau) These may also apply when we walk or move through life another way…and as we make our spiritual journey too…
A Runner’s Thoughts: “There's one rule of thumb that suggests that you need one day of recovery for every mile run in a race. Another rule of thumb...suggests one day...for every kilometer run in anger.” (Hal Higdon) Not a bad rule of thumb if you walk or move through life another way...
A Runner’s Thoughts: Whether we run, walk or move through life another way… “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” (Theodore Roosevelt)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “I had begun to think of myself not just as someone who runs, but as a runner, the difference being that this wasn't just something that I did; it was who I was.” (Jeffrey Horowitz) So too if we are walkers or movers through life another way…
