Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your day has started off well. We began our meetings here in West Hartford yesterday afternoon and we now enter into our first full day. Please keep us in your prayers today and throughout the week. May you find warmth especially if you have to be out and about today.
My prayer of blessing for us today is a simple litany asking God to help us along the way – Loving God, we pray for your blessing today in the midst of our busy life. If we find ourselves under the weather touch us with your healing presence. If we are busy guide us to a moment of peace. If we are frustrated grace us with an acknowledgement of the gift that you are. If we find ourselves angry today help us to let it go. If we find ourselves alone embrace us so that we know that are not. If we find ourselves chilled touch us with the warmth of your love. O God, bless us with what we need to live our life this day! Have a great Tuesday everyone. If you were off yesterday I hope you had a relaxing day or a day that helped you to catch up in this busy life. Be well today, stay warm and may you encounter many blessings as you live this day! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God of eternal hope, help us to see things as you see thing. Help us to put our hope and faith in substance not glitz and glitter. Help us to see into the heart and soul of ourselves and others. Guide us through this ever-changing life with your gifts of courage, strength, mercy and grace so that we might help to build a world of justice and peace for all. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings and happy Martin Luther King Day everyone on this cloudy and cold day. At least it is here in Pelham! It certainly is a winter morning, but I guess I should not expect anything else for the middle of January. In a few hours I will head north to West Hartford, CT where the Passionists will be meeting throughout the week in what we call a “Pre-Chapter.” It is a meeting that will help us begin the process of preparing for our Chapter in May when we will set the direction for the next four years and beyond and when we will elect new leadership. So, if you would not mind keep us in your prayers from today until Friday morning it would be greatly appreciated. You don’t have to stop on Friday!
I hope this finds you well and into your Monday morning without too much difficulty. I would guess for some of you today is a free day meaning you didn’t have to travel into work, for others it is the beginning of a new work week. Today I pray that God blesses us all with the grace to be new wines skins that hold the new song of God for the world. May we share that new song with everyone we meet today in our own gifted way. May we smile, may we laugh, may we share our wisdom, may we dream, may we believe, may we hope, and may we always love! In the spirit of Dr. King may we move toward a world in which all people are valued, all people are free and where peace is the rule of the day! Blessing upon everyone today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, you call us today to sing a new song, to be new skins for the grace of your new wine, to be your people of a new dream of freedom, of justice, of equality for all. Help us today to look beyond the fears, the obstacles, the hate, the angry rhetoric and the sinfulness that often prevents us from singing, holding and dreaming the newness of your mercy, life and love. Give us the hopefulness of new dreams, the faith of a new song and the love which we can carry in a new life to others. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Sunday has started off well. I hope you are finding some time to rest and just enjoy. Here in Pelham it is once again a very cold day. It is probably be a good day to stay in and read a book but I will be out and about because there is no rest for the wicked!
As I look ahead it will be a busy week as the Passionists will be gathering in West Hartford, Connecticut for our Pre-Chapter meeting. Please keep us in your prayers as we vision for the future and move toward the election of new leadership. On this Sunday my prayer of blessing is that God will renew within us the graces and blessings we received through the hearing of his Word. That the Holy Spirit will enliven our faith, energize our hope and remind us of God’s everlasting love. I pray that God will once again bless us with the invitation to “Come and see!” May God’s mercy, grace and blessing upon all today. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O Lord, grant us that love which can never die, which will enkindle our lamps but not extinguish them, so that they may shine in us and bring light to others. May we receive unquenchable light from you so that our darkness will be illuminated and the darkness of the world will be made less. Amen (Prayer by St. Columba)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Saturday is starting off well amid this crazy weather. In an hour or so I will head out for a funeral, so I ask your prayers that I might lead those who will be gather in grief in a faith filled and loving way.
My prayer of blessing today is that you will get a little time away from the busyness of life to rest, relax and just enjoy life. May you have a productive weekend, in whatever way you need it to be, and may you be rich in the gift of family and friends or peace and quiet if you need it. Many blessings and have a great Saturday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, here on earth you are constantly trying to change us. At times we wish to flee into the wilderness to avoid you. But let us learn to love the lasting things of heaven rather than the dying things of earth. We must accept that time always brings change, and we pray that, by your grace, change within our souls will make us worthy of your heavenly kingdom. Amen (Prayer by Alcuin of York)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. Today is our January taping day for The Sunday Mass at Immaculate Conception Passionist Parish in Queens. So shortly, I will be heading into Queens to begin a long day of taping. We will be taping the 6 weeks of Lent today, so you might say I am getting into the Lent mode a little early. If you could offer a prayer or two that things go smoothly it would be greatly appreciated.
I would also like to send a shout out to my wonderful sister, Bernadette today because she is celebrating her birthday. Best wishes Bernadette and may this day and everyday be rich in God’s blessings! May your Friday be a good one and I hope that you are not too busy today and if you are that things go smoothly for you so that your Friday will lead you into a relaxing weekend. May God bless you today with peace and a generous helping of God’s mercy and love throughout your journey through this day. May God bless you with safe travels, successful endeavors, grace filled encounters, joyful people and hope filled experiences. And may your day lead you into a restful evening and a peaceful night so that you can rise refreshed to live a new day tomorrow. Friday blessings to all. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, grants us to the gift of being true friends in faith today and always. Helps us to bring to you, no matter what the obstacles, all in need so that they and we might encounter your mercy, healing, forgiveness and your loving presence. Bless us with a community of faith who will help your grace to remain alive in our hearts! Amen!
