Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all. On this Feast of the Visitation, I send special greetings to all mothers, especially those who are carrying life at this time or those who are hoping and praying to have the chance to carry new life but are struggling to do so at this time. Through the spirit of Elizabeth and Mary I ask God’s blessing upon all mothers for the gifts of hope and love that you give to the world. Mothers are truly special people. May those who want to be mothers be touched in a special way today by the spirits of Mary and Elizabeth, remember nothing is impossible for God!
I hope you are continuing to navigate through this last day of May with faith and hopefulness for the future. As always, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that our Wednesday, and the rest of our week will be blessed with many wonderful and life-giving experiences. If we can take sometime today to smell the flowers, to enjoy the colors of creation and to let ourselves be loved! May God bless our journey through this day with his grace and presence in whatever we do, in whatever or whomever we encounter and in the living of this day. let us be mindful as we live this day of those who gave their lives at some moment in time so that we might live in freedom and peace. And like Elizabeth may the presence of God leap within us at some moment as we live life this day. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Hope in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Gracious God, instill in us your Spirit, that we may become sisters and mother, brothers and father, aunts, uncles and cousins to one another as Mary and Elizabeth were for each other. May your love be the heart of our family, our community, our friendships that always bring us together; may Mary’s song of fearless hope and persevering joy becomes our song of joy and hope in the promise of your mercy. May our souls leap for joy like the child in Elizabeth’s womb every time we hear your voice today! Amen (Adapted from a prayer by Jay Cormier)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today, Memorial Day, is a day to remember all who have given their lives over the years is service of our country, protecting our freedom. We pray that someday we will find a way to live in peace so that in the words of the Prophet Isaiah 2:4, “They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again.” Remembering all who gave their lives in hope of peace! We closed the Easter Season yesterday with the celebration of Pentecost and today we find ourselves back in Ordinary Time but celebrating the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church which Pope Francis began five years ago. May today be a day truly blessed by the presence of God and Mary in some way. My prayer of blessing for today is that God’s blessings will be with us throughout our day. May Mary, as Mother of the Church intercede for us so that the richness of who we are as individual persons created in the image and likeness of God will touch the lives of all whom we encounter. May we bring God’s presence to every experience and each moment of this day. May the world we journey through at this time, somehow be a better place because of us today. May we also take the time to remember all who have given their lives for our freedom. And at the end of the day may we smile with the tired satisfaction that because of God’s grace and blessings today was a good day and a blessed day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Holy Mary, help us in our need, give us strength when we are weak, give us comfort when we are sorrowful, intercede for God’s people, assist those who lead, guide those who give their lives in service. Mary may all who seek you encounter your help and experience your unfailing protection and love. We make this prayer through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

May we continue to remember over this Memorial Day Weekend all who gave their lives in service of our country. And also, reminder to give the Holy Spirit a little time today too!
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless us with an enjoyable day and a continued Memorial Day Weekend however we will journey through it. May God’s Spirit this day offer us the opportunity to enjoy the gifts of the Holy Spirit within and around us! I will leave you today with this thought from Thomas Merton, “Love is the guarantee that the life of the Spirit is growing in us. Love is the sign of the Holy Spirit at work in the Church and in the world.” So, may God bless us with much love today and may we love much today my friends! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Breathe in us, O Holy Spirit, that our thoughts, our ideas, our words, may all be holy. Act in us, O Holy Spirit, that our works, our labors, our actions, our living of life too, may be holy. Embrace our hearts, O Holy Spirit, that we may love and be love in a holy way. Strengthen us, O Holy Spirit, that our lives may represent all that is life giving and holy. Protect us, O Holy Spirit, that we always may be your gifts of hope and life in this world. Amen! (Adapted from a Prayer to the Holy Spirit by Saint Augustine)
