Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Monday is starting off well. It looks to be a sunny warm day here is Pelham I hope that same is true wherever you are. We closed the Easter Season yesterday with the celebration of Pentecost and today we find ourselves back in Ordinary Time but celebrating the new Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. May today be a day truly blessed by the presence of God and Mary in some way.
My prayer of blessing for you today is that God’s blessing will be with you today and always. May Mary, as Mother of the Church will intercede for you so that the richness of who you are as a person created in the image and likeness of God touch the lives of all you meet. May you bring God’s presence to every experience and each moment of this day. May the world you journey through be a better place because of you today. And at the end of the day may you smile with the tired satisfaction that because of you today was a good day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Holy Mary, help us in our need, give us strength when we are weak, give us comfort when we are sorrowful, intercede for God’s people, assist those who lead, guide those who give their lives in service. Mary may all who seek you encounter your help and experience your unfailing protection and love. We make this prayer through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Pentecost greetings and blessings to all! It looks to be another cloudy, rainy day here in the New York area. Perhaps at some point today we might see the sun... at least I am hopeful! I hope your Pentecost Sunday has started out well and that you will have a good if not great day. Just a reminder to give God a little time today too!
May God bless you with an enjoyable day especially among family and/or friends. Through God’s Spirit may this day offer you some rest and relaxation so that you might enjoy the gifts of the Holy Spirit within and around you! I will leave you today with this thought from Thomas Merton, “Love is the guarantee that the life of the Spirit is growing in us. Love is the sign of the Holy Spirit at work in the Church and in the world.” So, may God bless you with much love today and may you love much today my friends! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Breathe in us, O Holy Spirit, that our thoughts, our ideas, our words, may all be holy. Act in us, O Holy Spirit, that our works, our labors, our actions, our living of life too, may be holy. Embrace our hearts, O Holy Spirit, that we may love and be love in a holy way. Strengthen us, O Holy Spirit, that our lives may represent all that is life giving and holy. Protect us, O Holy Spirit, that we always may be your gifts of hope and life in this world. Amen! (Adapted for a Prayer to the Holy Spirit by Saint Augustine)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings everyone! I hope your Saturday has begun well and that you are enjoying the beauty of God's creation wherever you are. Unfortunately, it is another rainy and cool day here in the New York area. I will be off to our house in Jamaica in a couple of hours to celebrate a memorial mass for a family and then it will be back across the bridge to celebrate Pentecost with a 4 pm mass at the Wartburg Home. I wish it were a nicer day to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit!
My prayer of blessing is that this will be a day blessed in God's presence, grace and love. That it will be a day bless with wonderful experiences, safe travel, if you are traveling, and the rest and relaxation that will help you to enjoy the gift of your life! Remember to give God a little time this Pentecost weekend. Peace in Christ's Passion and Joy in the gifts of the Holy Spirit...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O, God, to know you is life. To serve you is freedom. To praise you is the soul's joy and delight. Guard us with the power of your grace here and in all places. Now and at all times, forever. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your day is starting out well. We are looking at another rainy day here in the New York area. The rain seems to be coming in waves though as I look out my window the sun is trying to break through. I hope the weather by you is better these days!
May God bless all of you this day with the Spirit of Love and through your work, your travels and your interaction with others may Jesus truly know that “Yes, you do love him!” May God’s blessings be upon your Friday and upon your celebration of Pentecost Sunday. May you have a restful, peaceful, fun filled, and Spirit filled weekend with those who are most important to you. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Holy Spirit…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Take, Lord, receive all our liberty Our memory, understanding, Our entire will. Give us only your love and your grace, that's enough for us Your love and your grace are enough for us. Take, Lord, receive all we have and possess. You have given all to us, now we return it. Take, Lord, receive, all is yours now Dispose of it wholly according to your will. (Adapted from the song Take Lord Receive by Fr. John Foley, SJ) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! It is another rainy day here in the New York area and the forecast says we will not see the sun until Monday. I hope the weather is a little more sunny near you and I trust your Thursday has started off well. If not please know you are in my prayers and I will say a special prayer after finishing this post that your day will get better.
Have a great Thursday everyone and may God’s blessings and grace be upon your work, your rest, your interaction with others, your loved ones and you! May God truly be with you, around you and within you today and always! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the coming of the Holy Spirit…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
God be in our head and in our understanding today. God be in our eyes, and in our seeing today. God be in our mouth and in our speaking today. God be in our feet and in our traveling today. God be in our hands and in our embracing today. God be in our ears and in our listening today. God be in our soul and in our believing today. God be in our hearts and in our loving today. God be in us and everything we do today. Amen! (Adapted from a Celtic Prayer) |
