Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope your Wednesday has started off well.
We enter the third day of retreat today at the Wartburg Home and I once again ask you to keep those making the retreat in your prayers. I think the retreat is going well at least that is the feedback that I am getting. As always, if you could offer a little prayer for the preacher, it would be greatly appreciated. My prayer for all today is that God will bless this midpoint of the work week with a day filled with his presence, grace, energy, patience, joy and love. May our day be truly rich in the gifts of faith, hope, joy and love which we will bring to everyone we meet by the way we live our lives today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, Let nothing disturb us today, Let nothing frighten us today, Let nothing hold us back today, Help us to know that all things are passing away: But that God never changes, And that patience obtains all things. Help us to trust that whoever has God lacks nothing; Because God alone suffices. May we live, work, laugh, cry, play and be in God today. Amen (Adapted from Teresa of Ávila) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Tuesday is starting off well?
My retreat at the Wartburg Home continues today. We had a nice start yesterday with a nice number of sisters and others entering into the retreat. I would ask you to keep all who are making retreat in your prayer and if you could say and little prayer for the preacher it would be appreciated! My prayer of blessing today is that God’s blessings will be upon all of us today. May today be rich in the gift of family, friendship and peace. May we find the road today flat, smooth and easy to travel. May we find the gift and grace of God in everyone we meet and in everything we do. Most importantly may we find the gift of God within ourselves as we live life today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, we pause for a moment and ask you hear and accept our prayers of praise for you today… Be praised, loving God, through all your creatures, especially through my Brother Sun, who brings the day; and you give light through him. And Brother Sun is beautiful and radiant in all his splendor! Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness. Be praised, loving God, through Sister Moon and the stars; in the heavens you have made them, precious and beautiful. Be praised, loving God, through Brothers Wind and Air, and clouds and storms, and all the weather, through which you give your creatures sustenance. Be praised, loving God, through Sister Water; she is very useful, and humble, and precious, and pure. Be praised, loving God, through Brother Fire, through whom you brighten the night. He is beautiful and cheerful, and powerful and strong. Be praised, loving God, through our sister Mother Earth, who feeds us and rules us, and produces various fruits with colored flowers and herbs. Be praised, loving God, through those who forgive for love of you; through those who endure sickness and trial. Happy those who endure in peace, for they will be crowned; happy are we today for in hearing your word you call us all to be sisters and brothers in you. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by St. Francis of Assisi) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your new work week is starting off well. Happy First Day of Autumn everyone! The weather this morning feels more like summer than fall. I hope your day is starting well.
I will begin a retreat at the Wartburg Home today. About 25 to 30 residents will be making the retreat mostly religious sisters. It is the second retreat that I have given at the home. I will be giving two talks one in the morning followed by mass and one in the afternoon. I would ask you to keep all making the retreat in your prayers and if you could say a little extra prayer for their preacher it would be appreciated! I would like to send a special shout out to my grand niece Emilia on her birthday today. Happy Birthday Emilia! Many blessings today and always. Have a great day! Know you are in my prayers always. My prayer of blessing for all of us today is that as we journey through our day may it be a good journey. May we live by faith and trust in the gift that we are. May we place our gift, our light, on a stand in the middle of the room so that it will give light to the whole house, to everywhere we go and to everyone we meet. Blessings today upon all we do, upon everyone we meet and most importantly upon each one of us! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O Lord our God, grant us grace to desire you with a whole heart, so that desiring you we may seek you with a whole heart and find you; and so finding you, may love you, and loving you may hate those sins which separate us from you, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen (St. Anselm of Canterbury)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. It is an early morning for me as I put some finishing touches on my homily for today and in a couple of hours I will be heading to St. John and St. Mary Parish in Chappaqua, New York to celebrate the 10:00 am and noon masses. I hope your Sunday is starting off well and that you will be able to give a little time to God at some point today!
My prayer of blessing today is that our journey through Sunday may be a good one. May we live by faith today and trust in the gift that we are. May God recognize our faith and bless us with the trust and willingness to let go and let God. If we are struggling with our faith may we find the strength to trust in the presence of God in our life. Blessings today upon all we do, upon everyone we meet and most importantly upon each one of us. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, help us to bring our worldly concerns under control, so that they never turn our minds from the higher things. Help us have earthly things for our use but not as objects of our desires. May there be nothing to hold back the desire of our minds; and do not let the delights of this world ensnare us. Amen (Prayer by St. Gregory the Great)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings and happy feast of St. Matthew to everyone! I hope your day has started off well.
As I said above, I hope your day has started off well. My prayer of blessing today is that our Saturday will be blessed with the richness of God's presence. May God touch us with his grace of faith, hope, love and joy today. May our day be blessed with the gift of faith filled people, wonderful experiences, safe travel and a productive day! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Grant us, O God, a mind to know you, a heart to seek you, wisdom to find you, conduct pleasing to you, faithful perseverance in waiting for you, and a hope of finally embracing you. Amen.” (Adapted from a prayer by St. Thomas Aquinas)
