Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all on this second to last day in January. I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these winter days with faith and hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today, January 30th is always a special day in my life. One hundred and eight years ago my father was born. Now he only made it through 67 of those years but that was enough to fall in love with my mother and together they by the grace of God gave life to three children who are most grateful for their love and the gift of life! So, Dad, Happy Birthday Day and thanks! I would also like to send a shout out to my nephew-in-law as today is his birthday. Happy Birthday, Jurek! Many blessings today and always and I hope you will get a chance to celebrate at least a little! May prayer of blessing today comes from a prayer by St. Therese of Lisieux – May there be peace within us today and every day. May we trust God that we are exactly where we are meant to be. May we not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May we use those gifts that we have received and pass on the love that has been given to us. May we be confident knowing that we are a child of God. Let this presence settle into our bones and allow our soul the freedom to sing dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. Amen! Have a blessed and holy Monday everyone and as we continue our journey through winter keep safe and warm and enjoy the beauty of nature when you can. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul
