Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are navigating through these last days of October with faith and hopefulness for the future.
As we begin a new day, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As I mentioned at the beginning of Today’s Prayer, today is the Anniversary of my mother’s birth into eternal life. And so, I remember her with thankfulness and gratitude for the gift of life that she and dad gave me, for the wisdom and knowledge she gave me during her time on earth, for her faithfulness and for her eternal spirit that continue to be a presence in my life. I trust in her eternal presence and spirit to be with me and continue to guide me on my journey through this life. I offer this prayer of blessing - Loving God, Creator of this new day, bless us this day so that we may live your truth in everything we do. That we may express your love and joy to everyone we meet. Touch us with your grace so that we may share our enthusiasm and make each moment better; so that we may give life to our hopes; so that we may walk by faith; so that we may dance and sing to your music of life; so that we will always embrace your mercy, your joy, your blessings, your love and make today and everyday worth remembering by taking the road less traveled. Amen! Have a great Monday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
