A Runner’s Thoughts: As prayerful people let us not live today with a sense of expectation that something significant will happen spiritually. Let us live only asking that our day be in the presence of God and that we will live with a heightened awareness of God’s presence. If we live life in this way occasionally insights will come our way and we might feel a special closeness to God, but usually we will simply know that we are not living life alone and we will carry with us the sense of a shared journey long after we our day is done! A Runner’s Thoughts: Remember living life is always an opportunity to search for God amid the commonplace, humdrum and ordinary activities that most often occupy our life. That is ultimately the point of each day of our life – we are trying to find a way to mix the mundane with the mystical, to blend the sacred with the profane, to find heaven on earth.
