A Runner’s Thoughts: “I wanted change. If you don’t do that, you will stagnate. Not just in running but in life as well.” (Noah Droddy)

A Runner’s Thoughts: “Whatever you may be missing right now - a person, a place, a feeling, maybe you are injured and missing running - whatever it is, have peace and take heart - remember that any goodbye makes room for a hello.” (Kristin Armstrong) In other words run, walk or move through life another way with faith and hope!
A Runner’s Thoughts: Spirituality for running, walking or moving through life another way - The miracle isn't that we finish. The miracle is that we have the courage to start and bring God with us! (Adapted from a quote by John Bingham)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “[We] run because long after [our] footprints fade away, maybe [we] will have inspired a few to reject the easy path, hit the trails, put one foot in front of the other, and come to the same conclusion [we] did: [we] run because it always takes [us] where [we]want to go.” (Dean Karnazes) And we prayer because it always takes us to whom we want most in our life. So today run, walk, move and pray!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Experienced runners learn to respect the changing needs of their bodies. That's the wisdom that comes with time, and–for good or bad–with age.” (Fred Lebow) So to in the spiritual life – experienced pilgrims on this journey of faith learn to respect the changing needs of their spirits and souls. This is the wisdom that comes with time.
A Runner’s Thoughts: You might say that John Bingham is also talking about the spiritual life when he talks about running – “It was being a runner that mattered, not how fast or how far I could run. The joy was in the act of running and in the journey, not in the destination. We have a better chance of seeing where we are when we stop trying to get somewhere else. We can enjoy every moment of movement, as long as where we are as good as where we'd like to be. That's not to say that you need to be satisfied forever with where you are today. But you need to honor what you've accomplished, rather than thinking of what's left to be done.” (John Bingham)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “So much in life seems inflexible and unchangeable, and part of the joy of running, [walking or moving through life another way] …is the realization that improvement and progress can be achieved.” (Writer Nancy Anderson)
A Runner’s Thoughts: “Some days are hard and some days are easier, but running has helped me to get through everyday life.” (Patrick Stover) the same is true for walking and any other way we find to move through life – moving helps us deal with the easy and the hard!
A Runner’s Thoughts: “I do notice that a lot of the best thinking I get done, or ideas generation, or problem solving, happens when I’m running and trying to focus on stuff outside of my head.” (Nicholas Thompson, marathoner and author)
I run to pray. I run to give glory to God. I run to have a little one on one time with God. I run to encounter the gift of God’s creation. I run to make God a little more real in my life. And I like that! A Runner’s Thoughts: “The point is to do everything you can to maximize the time you have on Earth.” (Kip Fontana, who defied the odds to run a 5K seven years after being diagnosed with ALS)
