Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days. I pray that you continue to be safe and healthy.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that despite this unusual time your day today will be truly blessed with goodness and many encounters with God’s grace. If you are struggling, I pray that things will get better and that you will come to know and trust in the presence of God in your life. May you have a faith filled day with many blessings and much peace. As always you are in my prayers. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My blessing prayer today is that as we go through these difficult and unusual times that God’s blessings will be upon us so that we can continue to be productive, life-giving and gifted by God’s presence. May our world find healing but until them may we all be safe, healthy and strong in our journey through this day. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, you are our light and life. Grace us with the wisdom to recognize the many works of your hands today. Help us to be your light in the world today by the way we live our life. Enable us to turn away from the desire to judge and to trust in your presence in everyone we meet. Make us instruments of your love, your joy and your peace so that we never walk in darkness but only in your light! Amen!

Have a blessed and holy Sunday and continue to be safe and healthy. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Father, creator of unfailing light, give that same light to those who call upon you in these unusual times. May our lips today and everyday praise you; our lives proclaim your goodness, our works and the living of life give you honor and our voices celebrate you forever. God of Life and Healing hear us today and always. Amen! (Adapted from a Psalm Prayer in Prayer of Christians Sunday Morning Prayer Week I)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all. Once again, I hope you are navigating through these stressful times in a positive way.
I have to say, for me, the Extraordinary Moment of Prayer led by Pope Francis yesterday was moving, profound and comforting. I always feel that God is working through Pope Francis in a very special way and I think good things will come in the days ahead from that Extraordinary Moment! (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless us all with the energy, the spirit and the enthusiasm to continue this journey of Lent and these difficult days. That God will bless us with a joy for life, for other people and for ourselves. And that we will have the faith to not be afraid and trust in the presence of God in our lives. Have a blessed, holy, safe and healthy Saturday and I hope that during these unusual days that you are remembering to give God a little of your time. Peace...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: As I arise today, may the strength of God pilot me, the power of God uphold me, the wisdom of God guide me. May the eye of God look before me, the ear of God hear me, the word of God speak for me. May the hand of God protect me, the way of God lie before me, the shield of God defend me, the host of God save me. May Christ shield me today. Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit, Christ when I stand, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by St. Patrick)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. I pray that you are continuing to navigate through these difficult times. We find ourselves 13 days from the end of Lent and the beginning of the Easter Triduum. It has been a very weird Lent and a long one. I have a feeling it is going to be a weird Holy Week and Easter. Yet, here we are and all we can do is wait, follow the directive and live in the hope that one day we will beyond all of this.
I would ask that you keep in your prayers Dorothy Fitzsimmons and the Fitzsimmons family. Dorothy who was mother and grandmother died yesterday morning of complications of the CoronaVirus. I had visited her in her nursing home a few months back. With this difficult time the family could not be with her at her death and will have to wait to morn her loss in a formal way. I am sure Dorothy was welcomed warmly into heaven by God yesterday but please say a prayer for her and her family today! Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is a simple one that all of us will have a graced filled, safe and healthy Friday, one that helps us to trust and hope in God’s presence and action in the world. May we all be blessed with richness of what matters to God and touched with the presence of God in all we do today. Remember Pope Francis will give a special “Urbi et Orbi” blessing today at 1 pm EDT New York. Have a peaceful, safe and healthy Friday everyone. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Payer: St. Augustine tells us that understanding is the reward given by faith, so we should not try to understand in order to believe, but we should believe in order to understand. So, we pray to you our loving God for the grace that will help us to always believe. Enliven us when we are weak with the strength to believe in your healing way and so that we may always live a holy way of life. Grant us the wisdom to recognize your presence in our lives that comes from within us and others. Be always near to us that when necessary we may take comfort in your love! Amen!
