Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all on this last day of January. I hope you Thursday has started off well. It is a very cold morning here in the New York area. I know other areas of the country are feeling the cold much worse than we are! This is the part of winter I really do not like. Stay warm everyone and think spring!
My prayer of blessing today is a simple one that God will bless us as we wander through this bitter cold day. Helping us to keep our energy high and giving us the grace to hang on so that the everyday struggles do not get us down. I pray today that God will bless us all with much hope, strong faith. lively joy and many measures of love! Enjoy the day, stay warm, be safe and above all may God bless your day! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God of all life, direct our hearts throughout this day in your wonderful Spirit of hope. So that we may always know it is you at the center of all we are, all we want, and all we are meant to be. Keep us always faithful to your everlasting Spirit of Life that we might overcome our differences and become a house united in your Love. Help us to be a people who honor life from its first moment after conception to it very last breathe. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all! Well we got rain last night, but it stopped before the cold air arrived, so our Wednesday morning is starting off very cold but clear both in the sky and on the ground. They say we may get some snow this evening, however nothing substantial. There will be a lot of wind so the cold will become very cold! – I hope your Wednesday is starting off well and if you are in the midst of the very cold you are staying as warm as you can!
Today January 30th is always a special day in my life. One hundred and four years ago my father was born. Now he only made it through 67 of those years but that was enough to fall in love with my mother and together they by the grace of God gave life to three children who are most grateful for their love and the gift of life! So, Dad, Happy Birthday Day and thanks! I would also like to send a shout out to my nephew-in-law as today is his birthday. Happy Birthday, Jurek! Many blessings today and always and I hope you will get a chance to celebrate at least a little! I pray that God will bless all our endeavors, all our interactions, all our challenges, all our travels, all our meetings, all our ordinary tasks, all our relationships and all whom we love and us today. May we bring the gift of God to our world and may today be a day truly blessed by God’s love so that we all have a day rich in what matters to us and God! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, strengthen us with the power of your love. Fill our hearts with your unrelenting presence. Help us to work the soil of our hearts by loosening the places that have become hard, by seeking the help of your forgiveness to move the rocks of our sinfulness and by finding the strength to pull the weeds and thorns that are over grown and choking off your presence. May our hearts become the good soil that bears the fruit of your love thirty and sixty and a hundredfold. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all I hope your Tuesday is starting off well. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing I pray, and hope life is good for you today!
The weather here in the New York area will be a mixed bag today. It will be cloudy and cold but not real cold yet that will come tomorrow. We will probably see rain this afternoon and maybe even a little snow tonight. I guess you might say a typical winter’s day. I hope the weather where you are will not get in the way of your journey through this day! My prayer of blessing is once again simple I pray today for God’s blessing upon all of us and I pray in the hope everyone will have a great Tuesday. However, if our day has started slow, or disorganized, or in a panic, or challenged by the weather, may we not worry, and may it all come together by day's end! If our day started with peace and purpose may these two graces, see us through to the end of the day! If our day started with struggle and tension may we find moments of peace and calm that sustain us through the day. If our day has started without God, may we let God find us so that we will not walk and work alone! Blessings to all! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: May there be peace within today and every day. May we trust God that we are exactly where we are meant to be. May we not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May we use those gifts that we have received and pass on the love that has been given to us. May we be confident knowing that we are a child of God. Let this presence settle into our bones and allow our soul the freedom to sing dance, praise and love. It is there for every one of us. Amen! (Adapted from a Prayer by St Therese of Lisieux)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Monday has started off well and that you had a good, if not great, weekend. I hope you had a chance to renew your inner spirit too.
It is going to be a partly cloudy and cold day here in the New York area with colder temperatures coming as the week continues. Yes, we have gone through one month of winter, but we still have two more months to go! Today is the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the great Dominican philosopher, theologian, thinker, and teacher so I send a shout out to all Dominicans today, especially to the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis. Happy Feast Day to all! My prayer of blessing today is a simple one but hopeful one that helps all of us begin a new week that will be rich in God’s love. Many blessings on every one's day today may it be filled with many moments of grace, hope and God's love! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Grant, O Lord our God, that we may never fall away in success or in failure; that we may not be prideful in prosperity nor dejected in adversity. Let us rejoice only in what unites us and sorrow only in what separates us. May we strive to please no one or fear to displease anyone except You. May we see always the things that are eternal and never those that are only temporal. May we shun any joy that is without You and never seek any that is beside You. O Lord, may we delight in any work we do for You and tire of any rest that is apart from You. Loving God, let us direct our hearts towards You, and in our failings, always repent with a purpose of amendment. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by St. Thomas Aquinas)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. The sky is clear this morning, so I am guessing it is going to be a sunny day here in the New York but also a cold one. I will head out around 10:30 am for the noon Mass at St. John and St. Mary’s Parish in Chappaqua.
My prayer for all today is – this is the Day that God has made let us rejoice and be glad. May there always be work for us to do. May our pockets and purses always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine warm on our windowpanes. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of family, a loved one and a friend always be near, and may God fill our hearts with gladness and love that we in turn can share! May God’s blessing be upon us all today and always. May you get a little time to relax if the busyness of life allows you some. May you find the gift of life and peace in all you do today! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, Creator of all good things, enliven your love that is within us so that we will always be busy about living. Busy about living our faith in you. Busy about living in your hope for us and our world. Busy about living your love which brought us into being and walks with us every step of this journey of life. Busy about living a life in which all life and all people are reverenced as your creation. Busy about living in your peace which means respect rather than judgment. Amen!
