Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Thursday is starting off well! It will be a busy day for me. In a few hours I head out to say the 9:00 am mass at St. Catharine’s Church. It is a local church in Pelham that is now part of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. After mass I head over to our parish and monastery in Jamaica, NY to set-up for our Sunday Mass Taping Day tomorrow. So, as you can see it will be a busy and full day. I hope your Thursday will be a little calmer than mine!
Well my friends, my prayer of blessing today is that we all will have a great day. May whatever this day becomes for us be life giving. May whomever we meet bring a positive spirit to your day. May any travels this day be easy and safe. May God’s love and presence be with us and all whom we love today and always! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Loving God, in you is found the fullness of life and unconditional forgiveness and love. We place ourselves in your hands each day, asking that you make holy all that we are, all that we have, and all that we offer you. Keep us firm in our faith and strong in your service. Create in us a new heart, that we might find a peace that always welcomes us home. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Wednesday is starting off well? I am home after a wonderful closing to the mission at Christ Our Light Parish in Cambridge, OH. Yes, I am home! It was a 7-and-a-half-hour trip through the dead of night. I arrived back in Pelham around 5:10 am. It was me and many, many trucks across, eastern Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I am not sure how good I am going to be the rest of this day, but I am home with many things to get done today. Please keep me in your prayers!
The mission went very well. As I mentioned the last few days it was a very spirit filled parish and that spirit was very much a part of the mission. Thanks to all who made my time at Christ Our Light so faith filled! My prayer of blessing is a prayer asking for healing. So often I am asked to pray for someone who is struggling with illness or some other kind of difficulty. I always say that I will certainly pray for them but today I would like to bring that prayer to you. O God, I pray today bringing before you all who are in need your healing touch. Grant my friends, my family and all who ask for my prayers, comfort in their struggles. If they are afraid give them courage. If they are afflicted, ill, struggling, depressed, confused, frustrated give them patience. If they are dejected afford them hope. If they feel alone assure them of your presence and my prayers and the prayers of many. Bless them with your healing. Bless all who read this blog, this prayer of blessing today with your loving presence. Amen! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Eternal God, you are the light of the minds that know you, the joy of the hearts that love you, and the strength of the wills that serve you: grant us the grace to know you so that we may truly love you and that we may truly serve you, for to serve you is perfect freedom, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)
To all my Facebook, Twitter and Web Site friends... I ask your prayers for a friend of mine Elisa. A few weeks ago I mentioned that she might be facing cancer. Well, yesterday I received an email from her and she has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. It is curable - but her treatment plan will likely include 4-6 months of chemotherapy and possibly radiation. As I mentioned she is a wonderful faith filled woman, a loving wife and mother of three great kids. So please keep her in your prayers that she will have the strength to make this journey. Help her to know though your prayers that she has many friends thinking of her and praying for her. - Many thanks in advance for your help! Elisa, Peace in Christ's Passion... Fr. Paul
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Tuesday is starting off well.
Our second evening of mission went very well. The community that gathered was once again spirit filled. I also had a number of nice sessions with the school children during the morning. I met with students from the second grade thru the eighth grade. It is truly a parish wide mission! I am hoping for continued good spirit as we bring the mission to a close this evening. Please keep the faith community here at Christ Our Light Parish in Cambridge, OH in your prayers today and if you have the time say a little prayer for their preacher it would be greatly appreciated! My prayer of blessing today is that our Tuesday has started off well and will continue to be a good day. May God bless our work, our interactions with others, our travels, our relationships and most importantly all of us today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, in whom all things live, who commanded us to seek you, who are always ready to be found: to know you is life, to serve you is freedom, to praise you is our soul’s delight. We bless you and adore you, we worship you and magnify you, we give thanks to you for your great glory, though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Monday is starting off well. It was a long Sunday for me but a good one. I preached the three masses and then we opened the mission last night. It was a very faith filled and Spirit filled crowd. A very hope filled opening to the mission. They came out on a rather cold and windy night. I would ask you to continue to prayer for the faith community here at Christ Our Light Parish in Cambridge, OH and for their preacher.
My prayer of blessing today is that your day will be filled with many positives and that the negatives will only be fleeting moments. I pray that God’s blessings will be upon all that we do, upon everyone we meet, everywhere we go and upon everyone we love! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, so many sick; so many starving; so many deprived; so many sad; so many hurting; so many bitter; so many fearful! When we look at You, we hope again. We do truly believe, help our unbelief. O God of infinite compassion, O ceaseless Energy of Love, O Eternal Wisdom grace us with your friendship and hear our faith filled prayer today so that we may help You to reduce the world’s pain. Amen! (Adapted from prayer by George Appleton)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you Sunday is starting off well? I made it to Cambridge, OH and Christ Our Light Parish yesterday and preached the Saturday evening mass. Today I have three masses this morning and then the mission will start tonight at 7:00 pm.
