Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all and Happy Halloween! I hope your morning is starting off well. It is a rain morning here in Pelham and that seems to be the forecast for the day so the Trick or Treaters will probably have not such a fun journey – through kids seem to adapt. I pray that all who will be out and about this evening will enjoy their time safely!
As we celebrate Halloween and the last day of October I offer this prayer of blessing for all of us today – Loving God, give us friends who will love us for who and what we are, and keep ever burning before our wandering steps the kindly light of hope... And though we come not within sight of the castles of our dreams, teach us to be thankful for life, and for time's olden memories that are good and heartwarming. And when the evening's twilight arrives may it find us gentle still and at peace. Blessings to all – Amen! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God, lover of all who hope in you, without whom nothing has foundation, nothing is holy, grace us in abundance with your love, compassion and mercy and grant that, with you as our friend and guide, we may use the good gifts that are within and around us in such a way so that we will hold fast to a hope that will endure. We make our prayer today through Jesus Christ our Lord in whom the love of God for us is always present. Amen!
Daily Blessing: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope this finds everyone starting off on the journey of a good Wednesday.
As I mentioned at the beginning of Today’s Prayer today is the Anniversary of my mother birth into eternal life. And so, I remember her in thankfulness for the gift of life that she and dad gave me, for the wisdom and knowledge she gave me during her time on earth, for her faithfulness and for her eternal spirit that continue to be a presence in my life. I trust in her eternal presence and spirit to be with me and continue to guide me on my journey through this life. My prayer of blessing for all of us today – Loving God bless us with a steadfast heart, which no unworthy affection may drag downwards; bless us with an unconquered heart, which no tribulation can wear out; bless us with an upright heart, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bless us with the understanding to know you, bless us with diligence to seek you, bless us with the wisdom to find you, and bless us with a faithfulness will help us to embrace your love in our life. I pray this blessing for all my family and friends and anyone in need this day through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen! Have a great Wednesday. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: (Remembering my mother today on the eighth anniversary of her passing.) – Good Saint Rita, during your entire life on earth you found your happiness by following the will of God. Help us to be as trusting of God in all of what God asks of us this day and always. Help us this day to give ourselves to God as you did, without limit, without fear, without counting the cost. Help us to be – generous in serving the needs of others, patient in all difficulties, forgiving toward all who hurt us. Help us to learn more deeply the great mystery of the Cross of Jesus, so that by embracing it as you did, we may come to experience its power to heal and to save. Amen (Adapted from a Prayer to St. Rita of Cascia)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope this finds everyone beginning what will become a good day.

Paul Today’s Prayer: God, Loving Creator, grace us with the wisdom to embrace your Kingdom that is all around us so that someday, after trying to master the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for you the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, we will have discovered fire – your unconditional love. Amen! (Adapted from the words of Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday blessings and greetings to all. I hope this finds you starting off a good Monday.
I thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts concerning my friend Ed. I got to visit him yesterday and anoint him. He has a very long road to travel now. He will have surgery tomorrow and by the end of the week be transferred to a rehab facility. Then it will be many months if not a year plus of trying to get back to some normalcy in life. He is in good spirits and has a willingness to work so things are look up. But as I said it will be a long haul so prayers will continue to be appreciated. I told him yesterday I have many people praying on his behalf! So, from my end thanks and if you have a moment say a prayer on his behalf. My prayer of blessing today – Loving God, Creator of this new day, bless us so that we may live your truth in everything we do today. That we may express your love to everyone we meet. Touch us with your grace so that we may share our enthusiasm and make each moment better; so that we may give life to our hopes; so that we may walk by faith; so that we may dance and sing to your music of life; so that we will always embrace your blessings and your love and make today and everyday worth remembering. Amen! Have a great Monday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: God of peace, we bless you and we thank you because you have sent us your beloved Son, Jesus, the source of all peace. Give us hearts open to the needs of all our sisters and brothers, so that we may be better able to build true peace. Remember Father of mercy, all who are in pain, who suffer and die in the cause of a more just and peaceful world. For people of every race, of every creed, of every tongue – may your kingdom come. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Paul VI)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessing to all. I hope your Sunday has started off well.
In a little while I will head north to Chappaqua, NY to celebrate the 10:00 am mass at the Parish of St. John and St. Mary. After mass I will head south to Camden, NJ to visit a high school friend who is in the hospital with serious injuries from a fall at his home last week. I hope to anoint him and spend a little time with him. I would ask you to keep my friend Ed and his family in your prayers as he deals with major health issues over the next year or so. Ask God to give him patience but to not lose hope! My prayer for all of us on this Sunday morning is --- this is the Day that God has made let us rejoice and be glad. May there always be work for us to do. May our pockets and purses always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine warm on our windowpanes. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of family, a loved one and a friend always be near, and may God fill our hearts with gladness and love that we in turn can share! May hate, anger and fear not be what we share or live. May God’s blessing be upon us all today and always. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will, All I have and call my own. You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me. (Suscipe – St. Ignatius of Loyola) |
