Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all. On this Feast of the Visitation I send special greetings to all mothers, especially those who are carrying life at this time or those who are hoping and praying to have the chance to carry new life but are struggling to do so at this time. Through the spirit of Elizabeth and Mary I ask God’s blessing upon all mothers for the gifts of hope and love that you give to the world. Mothers are truly special people. May those who want to be mothers be touched in a special way today by the spirits of Mary and Elizabeth, remember nothing is impossible for God!
As the day begins here in Pelham it looks to be another cloudy uncertain kind of day. I believe there is rain in the forecast, but we also might see some sun. I hope your weather is providing you with a good day on this last day of May. My prayer of blessing for all today is that you will have a great Thursday. I pray for blessings upon your work, your ministry, and your experiences of life today and always. I also pray for blessings upon those you love, those your encounter and especially upon you today! Today’s Prayer: Loving God, we come to you this day as a people in need of hope. There are times when because of the experiences of life, we feel helpless, we feel weak and overwhelmed. So today we pray for your gift of hope. We need hope so that we might build a better future. We need hope that we might live a better life. We need hope that we might be a people of love and kindness.
It is often said that the sky is at its darkest just before the light. And so, we pray that this is true, because often life seems dark and we need your light, O God, in every way. We pray that we will be filled with your light from head to toe. So that we might find the joy and hope that Elizabeth found when she was visited by Mary. That we might say with excitement not frustration or struggle, how does this life happen to me? Help us to be people of hope today that all is right in the world, as you have planned, and as you want it to be. Help us to walk in your light and live our lives in faith and hope. Amen! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your day has started well, if not may it become better as the day continues! It is a foggy morning here in the New York area but we are to see the sun sometime today. I hope the weather is a little better by you today!
If the week so far has not been good may this truly be a hump day to get you over to the good side. If it has been a good week so far may this truly be a hump day to get you over to the downhill side of the week. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, you are always willing to teach us how to listen. May we be willing to have our ears open and ready to listen to the many ways you teach us today. Help us to listen to those who enter our life today and give us the desire to serve and not be served. Help us move toward a greater wholeness in life that does not look to exclude but gifts us with the joy and hope of inclusion because all things are possible with God. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all. They we are to have a sunny Tuesday here in the New York area however as I look out the window there is nothing but clouds! I hope the weather is good by you today. I pray you had a nice Memorial Day and that you are not too tired entering this shortened work week.
My prayer of blessing for all of us today is that God will continue to bless all of us with his life-giving presence and that God will grace us with the strength and energy to share that presence wherever we go and with whomever we meet! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Memorial Day greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are enjoying your day. Today is a day to remember all who have given their lives over the years is service of our country, protecting our freedom. We pray that someday we will find a way to live in peace so that people will never have to train for and fight in war again!
I hope the sun is out where you are. It is a cloudy morning here in the New York area. They say the sun will find us this afternoon. Hopefully your day and our day will take us outdoors in some way to enjoy the gifts of God’s creation! I forgot to wish my great nephew Michael a Happy Birthday yesterday. I was busy about other things. Michael was two years old yesterday and I am hoping he had a great day. Yes, his great uncle forgot his birthday and is hoping he does not hold it against me. Please know little guy that you are always in my prayers! May your Memorial Day wherever you are and whatever you are doing be blessed with the richness of family and friends. May it be a day of fun, laughter, joy and relaxation. May it be a day when we remember many who have gone before us in service to our country. May it be a safe day, and may we be truly blessed by God’s love today and always! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Compassionate God, at times our hearts seems troubled. When this happens everything becomes an effort, life is difficult, and we struggle to be faithful. In these moments remind us of Your Son’s words “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God” Do not let us be afraid and thus give in to life’s troubles. Rather help us, stay close to you, by reaching out to others, doing something creative with passion, and always living the fullness of life. Enliven us always in Your Holy Spirit of hope, so that we may live life with Passion together. And may the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in my heart! Amen.
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all and Happy Feast of the Most Holy Trinity! I hope you find yourself in the midst of a blessed Sunday and a relaxing weekend. It looks like we are in for a rainy day here in the New York area, oh well, I cannot complain the weather has been very nice the last few days and rain is necessary to keep thing growing. However, I am sure those people planning cookouts and parties for the Memorial Day weekend are not too happy!
My prayer of blessing this morning for all of you is that God’s blessings will be upon all of you today and always. I hope you will be blessed day rich in family, friends, warmth, peace and rest. May God truly be with you and those you love, keeping you safe as you enjoy the many gifts of God’s creation and all that this day brings into your life. Remember to spend a little time with God today because after all, “One for all and all for one!” Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr.
