Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are navigating through these late June and early summer days with faith and hopefulness for the future.
As you begin a new day, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As I began my Today’s Thoughts, I reminded everyone that this is my last posting until August 1st. My Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Retreat begin formally this morning with mass at 9:00 am. If you have a chance over the next month to offer a prayer or thought for me, it would be appreciated. Hopefully we will connect again August1st! My prayer of blessing for all of us today is that we will have a great day wherever you are and in whatever you will be doing! May this day and the next month be filled with blessings, hope, peace, laughter, and sunshine! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul PS God willing, I will see you August 1st! Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds hide me. Permit me not to be separated from you. From the wicked foe, defend me. At the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to you That with your saints I may praise you For ever and ever. Amen. Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! O God, we thank you for the gift of this day. Give us the energy we need to face our work; with the attentiveness we need to do it well. Give us the self-discipline we need to finish it even if no one sees and no one praises us. Give us the self-respect which will inspire us not to produce anything which is less than our best. Give us the courtesy and the considerateness which will make us easy to live and work with. Help us to live today so that we will make the world a happier more hopeful place wherever we go. Amen! (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My blessing prayer today is that God will bless our Sunday with the grace, time, and energy to pause and express the deepest feelings of our heart and trust that God will understand. May this day be a time of reflection, relaxation, and rest. May we be graced with the faithfulness of Jeremiah and Paul. May we find a few moments of solitude to offer to God. May whatever comes our way today be blessed by God and if we face challenges and struggles may we know that we are not alone because God never leaves us to face our perils, struggles and challenges alone. Sunday blessings to all! Have a blessed and holy Sunday and a grace filled week ahead! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving and gracious God, we ask for your blessing and guidance during our Sunday journey. We pray that your Holy Spirit may inspire us with understanding, wisdom, and compassion. Help us to use the gifts that you have given us to faithfully serve our family of faith and to work for the fulfillment of the mission of life that you have entrusted to our care. We ask this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
