Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Monday has started off well? Mine has started off early. I awakened at 3:45 am and my brain began to work. These next two weeks are going to be very busy and I think I am beginning to stress which always turns my brain on at odd times. Lots needs to be done, so I would ask you to please keep me, The Sunday Mass and the Passionists in your prayers.
I have not clue what this day is going to be like as it is still dark outside. If we stick to the pattern of one good day and then one bad day weather wise today should be the good day. However, I think is going to be a rainy, cloudy and chilly day. Only time will tell! My prayer of blessing today is that God’s grace, blessing and presence will abound in you today. May your day be blessed with the richness of God’s peace, hope, joy and love. May you find the energy to make a joyful noise for God with your life today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Grant us today, Lord, the wisdom to know what is worth knowing, to love what is worth loving, to praise what delights you most, to value what is precious in your sight, to walk away from what is not of you. Do not let us judge by what we see, nor pass judgment by what we hear, but help us to choose rightly between things that differ and above all to search out and do what pleases you. Help us to make this day and our life about praising you. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. It is an early rainy morning for me as I will celebrate all the masses today at St. John and St. Mary’s Parish in Chappaqua, New York. I came up yesterday afternoon to hear confessions and celebrate the 5:15 pm mass and now I have the three masses today beginning with the 7:30 am mass.
I offer a special prayer this morning for Alfie Evans and especially for his family. I am truly sure the Alfie is with the Eternal Vine Grower, the Eternal Vine and the Holy Spirit. I ask that God’s compassion, strength and love be with his family during this most difficult time! My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless you with an enjoyable Sunday especially if you are among family and/or friends. Through God’s love may your day offer you some rest and relaxation so that you might be ready to live a new week by sharing God’s love! I will leave you with this thought from Thomas Merton, “Love is the guarantee that the life of the Spirit is growing in us. Love is the sign of the Holy Spirit at work in the Church and in the world.” So, may God bless you with much love today and may you love much today. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Help us, O God, to be a good and true friends, to be loyal and never to let our friends down: never to talk about them behind their backs in a way that we would not do to their faces; never to betray a confidence or talk about things we should be silent about; always to be ready to share everything we have; to be as true to our friends as we would wish them to be to us. This we ask through the vine who is the greatest and truest of all friends, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by William Barclay)
Today’s Prayer: God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all good gifts, we thank you for the gift of life - for the breath that sustains us, for the food that nurtures us and for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life.
We thank you for the mystery of creation - for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold because it fills the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities - for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. We thank you for this day - for life, for one more day to love, for the opportunity to work one more day for justice and peace, for neighbors, for one more person to love and by whom be loved, for your grace and one more experience of your presence, for your promise to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, loving God. Amen. (Adapted from Prayer of Thanksgiving on beliefnet.com) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings this morning. I hope your day is starting off well. It is to be a rainy day here in the New York area. We seem to be in the pattern of one nice day and one not so nice day. I am not sure what this day will bring as it is still dark out but at least there isn’t any rain yet. May you day be one of not walking through rain drops, but if you have to may they be gentle drops!
My prayer of blessing is that God will bless you this day with the Spirit of knowing the way and throughout your work, your travels and your interaction with others that your hearts will not be troubled because you have faith in God and in Jesus always. May God’s blessings be upon your Friday, and upon your weekend. May you have a productive, peaceful, and Spirit filled day. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Gracious God, who made the covenant promise with our ancestors, we begin this day a rebellious people. We want to act out your intentions for us, but we keep getting mixed up by all the glitter of the world around us. You tell us to honor creation, and we use other people, animals and plant life only to meet our wants. You offer daily bread to every living creature, and we steal that bread from our sisters and brothers in the name of greed. You promise us new life, and we shrink back from it is fear. Heal us, God, lest we destroy ourselves. We need your presence among us. Amen. (Adapted from the United Nations Environmental Sabbath Prayer)
