Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday blessings and greetings to all. I hope your day has started off well and that it will be blessed in a special way as you journey through it. If you are finding life a struggle today, please know as always you are in my prayers and I will say a special prayer that it gets at least a little better as the day goes on.
It looks to be another odd day here in the New York area with heavy humidity and possibly more rain. It rained throughout the night last night sometimes rather heavy. This has certainly been a rather unusual stretch of weather. I hope you weather is a bit better wherever you are. Happy Feast of St. Ann and St. Joachim! I would like to send a shout out to all gather at the St. Ann Passionist Basilica and Shine in Scranton, PA who have been journeying the last nine days through the annual St. Ann’s Novena. Today they celebrate the feast of St. Ann and St. Joachim. I know it has been a busy time for many at St. Ann’s and I would like to wish them a wonderful feast day! May God’s blessing be upon all on this day especially on the gift of family as the Church celebrates this Feast of St. Ann and St. Joachim. Have a great day blessed with the presence of God. May God bless you in a special way today with a strong faith to believe in the treasure that you carry within you and that you are! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, we pray: We hold a treasure - Not made of gold - In earthen vessels, wealth untold One treasure only, the Lord, the Christ - In earthen vessels. Light has shown in our darkness - God has shown in our hearts With the light of the glory - Of Jesus the Lord. We hold a treasure - Not made of gold - In earthen vessels, wealth untold One treasure only, the Lord, the Christ - In earthen vessels. He has chosen the lowly - Who are small in this world In his weakness His Glory -In Jesus the Lord We hold a treasure - Not made of gold - In earthen vessels, wealth untold One treasure only, the Lord, the Christ - In earthen vessels. Loving God help us to believe and live these words today and always! Amen! (Words from Earthen Vessels by John Foley, S.J.) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to everyone and Happy Feast of St. James especially to all those with the name James! (A special shout out to my brother James and my nephew, James!) I hope everyone’s day has started off well and that it will be blessed in a special way as you journey through it. If you are finding life a struggle today, please know as always you are in my prayers and I will say a special prayer that it gets at least a little better as the day goes on.
Have a great day and once again may God bless you with a strong and joy filled faith so that you will always believe in the treasure that you carry within you and that you are! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, we pray: that through the glorious Apostle, Saint James, who by reason of his fervent and generous heart was chosen by Jesus to be witness of Christ’s glory on Mount Tabor, and agony in Gethsemane. May James, whose very name means one who steps into the shoes of another and one who follows, help us to obtain this day the strength and compassion we need to be followers of Jesus. May St. James be our inspiration today and may we step into the shoes of Jesus and bring the gift, the treasure of God to all we meet. Amen. Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday blessings and greetings to all. hope your day has started off well. It is to be a stormy day here in the New York area and the humidity is on the oppressive side even as the day begins. I hope things are a little better where you are. If not, I hope you have a cool place to take refuse in from time to time.
Wherever you are I hope your day goes well. May this Tuesday be one of many graces and blessings for you and those you love. May God bless you today with many wonderful surprises so that you will know you are loved and that you always make the world a better place by the gift of your presence. May you be blessed with the grace of God’s love and may you share it with everyone you meet. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God we have often abandoned you, but you never abandon us. Your loving hands are always outstretched toward us, even when we stubbornly look the other way and your gentle voice constantly calls us, even when we persistently fuse to listen. Touch us today, call us today, bless us today and be with us today so that we may know that we are never alone, that you are always with us and you will never leave us. Help us to walk by faith and proclaim it by the life we live. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday blessings and greetings to everyone! Well, I am back in the swing of things and in a little while I will be off to Chappaqua to celebrate the morning mass at 8:30 am and then a 10 am funeral. After the funeral mass it will be on to the off where I have not been for almost two weeks. I can’t wait to see my desk. This is going to be a long day!
I hope your Monday has started off well and that you are well rested and ready to meet the day. We had storms pass through all last night and it feels very humid this morning. I hope it is a little cooler and less humid by you! My prayer of blessing today is that this will be a good day and the beginning of a good week for you wherever you are and whatever you are and will be doing. May you find some time to enjoy the gift of God’s creation and may whatever challenges you face be solved quickly and in a positive way. Enjoy your day and blessings to all! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, strengthen us with the grace of your Holy Spirit and give your peace to our souls that we may be free from all needless anxiety, apprehension, and worry. Help us to desire always that which is pleasing and acceptable to you, so that your will may be our will. Amen.
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday evening greetings and blessings to everyone! Once again, my friends in the Passion I am a little late with my reflections, prayers and thoughts. It is hard getting back into the swing of things. I have a full morning of masses at St. John and St. Mary’s Parish in Chappaqua, NY this morning. I left the house by 6:15 am and did not return home until around 2:15 pm. I had a few house chores to take care of, so I am only now sitting down to reflect a little. Hopefully by tomorrow morning I will be back in my usual groove!
I would like to remember, Dan Quinn, the husband of my good friend, Roseann, who passed away while I was away the last two weeks. As you might know, my good friend Roseann passed away seven years ago. I felt bad not being able to attend Dan’s funeral. I celebrated mass for him while I was away, and I continue to remember him and his family in my prayers. I pray your Sunday has been a good one and that you have been able to get a little rest and relaxation today. I pray that you are able to take a little time off and get away from the busyness of life. If you cannot I pray that you will have a chance to do so soon! I also pray that you were able to give a little time to God on this summer Sunday. My prayer of blessing for you this evening is this wherever you are, whomever you are with or have encountered and whatever you are doing or did do - I prayer that you were or will be blessed with the grace, love and presence of God. May the God of Peace, who shared with us the great Shepherd, Jesus, furnish all of us with all that is good, so that we may always do what God has created us to do. And may we always take some time to rest and enjoy life. May we remember to pause for a moment of prayer each day. May we find our own moment of – warm sun, hot coffee, pipe, swing, dog by our side, geese on the lake or whatever we need to celebrate another day created by God! Enjoy your evening, think positive thoughts, wear a smile and trust that God journeys with you! Blessings to all on your evening and night and may they bring you the rest and peace you need to begin a new day tomorrow. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, who are the light of the minds that know you, the joy of the hearts that love you, and the strength of the wills that serve you: grant us the grace to know you that we may truly love you, and so to love you that we may fully serve you, who to serve is perfect freedom, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen! (St. Augustine of Hippo)
