Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these ending days of August with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing for all us today is that our Loving God, the giver of all good gifts, will bless us today with hearts that love, so that by deepening our sense of respect and reverence for yourself and others we may nurture within ourselves and others only what is good. May God bless us with a watchful care throughout this day so that wherever we go and whatever we do it will be in, and through and with God. May God bring us home safe if we venture out to those we love that we might celebrate the gift of family, of friendship, of community, of our love so that our sleep will be restful, and we will be energized to welcome tomorrow! May God bless our journey through this day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: I pray, most gentle Jesus, deliver me from all evils, past, present, and to come. Give me a lively faith, a firm hope, and perfect charity, so that I may love you with all my heart, and all my soul, and all my strength. Make me steadfast in good works and grant me perseverance in your service, so that I may please you always. Amen (Prayer by St. Clare of Assisi)

May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face. And if the rain must fall may it be soft upon the fields and upon you. And may you be truly blessed by God holding you in the palm of his hand throughout this day and always! Have a great day everyone! May it truly be blessed with many wonderful experiences, many gifted and loving people! Enjoy your Tuesday everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, teach us to be generous to serve you as you deserve to be served, to give without counting the cost, to fight without fear of being wounded, to work without seeking rest and to spend ourselves without expecting any reward but the knowledge that we are doing your holy will. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. Ignatius of Loyola)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these August days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless all of us on this Monday. For some it is the beginning of a new school year, for others it is the beginning of a new work week, for others it may be the first or last week of vacation and for still others it might be the last day of this life. May God’s blessing be upon us wherever we find ourselves. May God bless us with the grace we need to live this day and in living this day may we bring God’s presence to all we meet! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
I arise today Through the strength of heaven; Light of the sun, Splendor of fire, Speed of lightning, Swiftness of the wind, Depth of the sea, Stability of the earth, Firmness of the rock. I arise today Through God's strength to pilot me; God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me, God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me, God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me, God's way to lie before me, God's shield to protect me, God's hosts to save me Afar and anear, Alone or in a mulitude. Christ shield me today Against wounding Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me. I arise today Through the mighty strength Of the Lord of creation. Amen! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these August days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today is the thirty-ninth anniversary of my religious profession of vows with the Passionists. Thirty-nine years ago, along with six other men, I made my first vows as a Passionist. It was a very hot humid day, but a wonderful day in my life. Thirty-nine years later there are three of us left as vowed Passionists and I have no regrets being one of them. Four men from that day ended up taking different paths in life eventually, but I would like to think they are still Passionist in their own way. Three of us, Melvin, Chris and myself continue our journey as Passionists. I ask God’s blessing on all who took vows August 22, 1982, wherever we are in life at this moment! A special shout out to Melvin and Chris – blessings to you both and I hope you will take a moment to celebrate at least a little today! Waiting for the arrival of Hurricane Henri, I have three masses today and a baptism, not sure what the day will bring. Storm to arrive sometime this morning. Right now at 5:30 am all quiet outside. My blessing prayer today is that our Sunday will be blessed with beautiful weather. That our Sunday will be rich in rest, good encounters with people, smiles, laughter, and love. That our Sunday will be graced with God’s presence through nature, people and quite moment of solitude. That our Sunday will find us giving God at least a few moments of our time and that our Sunday will prepare us to embrace the journey of life that is ahead of us with purpose, meaning, joy, hope and love! Have a great Sunday everyone and Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Look upon us, O God, hear and enlighten us. Show us your very self. Teach us to seek you, and when we seek you, show yourself to us. Let us seek you in desiring you, and desire you in seeking you. Let us find you by loving you and love you in finding you. Amen. (Prayer by St. Anselm of Canterbury)
