Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all and Happy Feast of the Ascension, whether you are in the part of the world celebrating it today or on Sunday! May we always be people who are busy about living!
I hope you are continuing to navigate through these Easter Season and May days with faith and a hopefulness for the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today comes from St. Anselm of Canterbury. O God, let us know you and love you today so that we may find our joy in you; and if we cannot do so fully in this life, help us to at least make some progress today and every day, until at last we may know the fullness of your joy and love! O God, bless us this day make it a day rich in your joy and love. May we not stand just looking but may we bring you to the world! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God of all life, enliven us with the gift of your Spirit to be busy about living not busy about dying today. Help us with your grace to live life to its fullest and not stand gazing back into the past hoping for what was. Today is a new day and may we live it with energy, enthusiasm and faith. Grace our hearts with the fire of your love that we might bring the gifts of faith, hope and love to a world so in need of them. Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Once again, I ask you to join me in prayer today for the Passionists of the Eastern Province as they continue their Chapter meeting. They have two more days to go. So, please join me in keeping them in prayer today. My prayer of blessing today is that our day will be blessed with much natural beauty and the warmth of the sun. I pray that God will bless our day today with the richness of life and may all that we do be within the presence of God’s love. Remember as we journey through our day, let us live, move and be with God! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Hope in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God of all life, direct our hearts throughout this day in your wonderful Spirit of hope, so that we may know it is you at the center of all we are, all we want, and all we are meant to be. Keep us always faithful to your everlasting Spirit of Life and remind us that in your Spirit that we live, that we move and that we have our very being. Help us to take your breath of Life and live it to the fullest. Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Please continue to pray along with me for the Passionists gather at our retreat house in Jamaica, NY for our province’s chapter. Thanks. My prayer of blessing this morning is that as we begin our Tuesday God’s blessings will be upon us, wherever we are and in whatever we will be doing. May our day be rich in the presence of God. May all we do and everyone we encounter be gifted by our energy, our goodness, our love, our faith, our hope and our joy. Have a wonderful day everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion and hope in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God we once again draw upon the inspiration of St. Francis. Please help us to be your instruments. Please help us to be your presence in this world, to be your people of Faith.
Lord, make us instruments of your peace today and always, where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen. (Adapted from the prayer known as the Prayer of St. Francis) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Once again, I ask your prayers for all the Passionists gather at our retreat house in Jamaica, NY, who are going through the process of chapter. Please keep them in your prayers today. My prayer of blessing for all on this Monday is that like Lydia, in the first reading for today, we may hear the word of God, take it into our hearts and allow it to bless us with, faith, peace, hope and joy throughout this day and always! May God bless our day, all that we will do, and may God’s blessing be upon all whom we connect with today. May God bless us with the gift of bringing God’s joy to the world today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Hope in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, you have brought us the gift of abundant life. Give us eyes that can look beyond the glamor and trivia of the world to the richness of your loving presence as it comes to us in others, creation and ourselves. Grace us with hope so that we will not give into despair, anger, vengeance and fear but through hope we will find the joy, grace and life you came to give us. May we come to know the full measure of life that you have promised and bring it to others! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these Easter Season and May days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would ask your prayers this week for my Passionist Province that will enter into Chapter this afternoon. Chapter is a time of reflection, discussion, election and visioning that helps us plan for the future. The Chapter will last from this afternoon thru Thursday. I would just ask you to join me in prayer this week for all the Passionists gather at our newly renovated Retreat House in Jamaica, New York for our Chapter. I will not be joining them, but I have promised to pray for the process, and all gathered. I could use some help so if you have sometime to offer a simple prayer for the journey of Chapter that many Passionists will take this week. Thanks in advance for your help. As I pause in the midst of my Sunday morning, my prayer is fashioned from a little saying that I have always liked, “Prayer may not change things for you, but it for sure changes you for things.” So, my prayer of blessing today for all of us is to simply say a little prayer that we will be ready for all the things we will face today and that whatever we encounter will be a blessing from God that will enliven, energize and gift our day and our life! Let us remember to give God a little time today and if we find ourselves encountering struggles and difficulties that stress us beyond our limits may we remember that we are not alone God dwells within us! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by you, always follow your plans, and perfectly accomplish your holy will. Grant that in all things, great and small, today and all the days of my life, I may do whatever you require of me. Help me respond to the slightest prompting of your grace, so that I may be your trustworthy instrument for your honor. May your will be done in time and eternity by me, in me, and through me. Amen!
