Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all. The ashes have faded from our foreheads and are we are now ready to begin our journey through Lent.
I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future. Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing for today is that God will bless us with the energy to be joyful people today. That we will see the gift of the road that we have chosen and celebrate that gift with all we meet. May we choose life and blessing all day today, by taking up our cross with the strength of our faith, the energy of our hope and the richness of our love! Blessing to all today. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: O God of Life, as we stand before the roads that this day presents to us, enliven us with the wisdom to choose the road of life. As we walk this road less travel keep us ever mindful that we are not alone that you walk with us. Strengthen us for the crosses, the challenges of this road. Grace us with the hope that we will always find your presence, your forgiveness, your mercy, your truth and your love as we make this journey. May we choose the road of life today and let it make all the difference in our life and in the lives of all we meet! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all on this Ash Wednesday – welcome to Lent! I hope you will find the time today to say a little prayer and to be signed by ashes that will send you on your own journey of Lent.
I also hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future. Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today comes from the liturgy itself – I pray that God blesses us all with the wisdom to know just how fragile we are that we came from dust and it is to dust that our bodies will return. I pray for God’s blessing of strength that we can turn away from the things that lead us away from God and that we can be faithful to the Gospel. May today be truly a blessed one and may it be the beginning of a wonderful, faith filled journey through Lent. May it be a journey that renews you, strengthens you and enlivens you with the gifts of God's Faith, Hope and Love! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Ash Wednesday Prayer: O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so as we journey we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to all! I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As we find ourselves beginning Fat Tuesday, our last day before entering the long journey of Lent let us be mindful of what the journey of Lent will call us to – reflection, disciplined and most importantly prayer. As I mentioned at the end of my reflection today, as Passionists we celebrated a special memorial mass this morning that we are always asked to celebrate on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday – The Prayer of Jesus in the Garden. It is our way of preparing for the journey of prayer that Lent needs to be. Enjoy this final day before Lent but also give a little time to preparation for the journey we are about to undertake. As I journey through my Tuesday, I will keep you in my prayers. I pray – that God may give us a “worry free” day – that God will bless us all with the richness of his grace and love – that any journeys today will be safe, swift and easy – that our encounters with others will be life giving and productive – and that our journey through this Fat Tuesday will be filled with smiles. Thus, may God bless our day with the Spirit of “Don’t Worry – Be Happy!” and prepare us for the long journey of Lent ahead of us. Have a Fat day with many blessings! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, we praise, bless, honor, glorify, and thank you for your goodness; for you have delivered our souls from death, our eyes from tears, and our feet from slipping. We have sinned against heaven and before you. Have mercy on us, O God. Try us, O God and discern our paths; see if there is a way of transgression in us and turn us away from it. Lead us into the eternal way, O God. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by St. Makarios of Alexandria)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As I begin this new day with a busy week ahead my prayer of blessing for us all is that our day will be rich in what matters to God. That every encounter, every journey, every experience, every meeting, every task and every person we meet will be blessed with God’s presence. I pray that we will have moments of peace that will help us to hear, feel and know the presence of God is with and within us. If you are out and about today be safe. No matter what your day will bring smile often and know that you are a gift today and always! May you have many blessings throughout the day. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, teach us to have patient hearts and give us the grace to open our hearts to you so that we may persevere in our journey of faith today and always. Be our protector, our stronghold and guide us with your ingenious love. Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis Valentine’s Day blessings upon all your loves today! Prayer of Love If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. For we know partially, and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known. So, faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is Love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13) Blessings today and always! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: God, here we are at your disposal, your children. Use us to continue your loving world by giving Jesus to us and through us, to each other and the world. Let us pray for each other: that we allow Jesus to love us and through us with the love with which his Father loves us. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Teresa of Calcutta)
