Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that God’s blessings will be upon our Sunday filling it with the richness of joy, hope and the goodness of God’s presence. May today be filled with God’s Holy Spirit that will enable us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we run the race of life! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
O Lord, when we receive you we accept our day just as it is. We do not need to have any lofty feelings in our heart to recount to you. We can lay our day before you just as it is, for we receive it from you yourself, the day and its inward light, the day and all its meaning, the day and the power to endure it, the pure awareness of it, which becomes the faint vision of your eternal life. (Adapted from a prayer by Fr. Karl Rahner, S.J.) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all and happy feast of the Assumption of Mary! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I know that my life has been touched by Mary’s presence often. So, in the spirit of the Feast of the Assumption I pray that God will bless us all with the humble and loving spirit of Mary’s presence in our life today and always. That we will be touched by the compassion, nurturing, loving and joyful spirit of Mary as we journey through this day and always. May Mary, the Mother of Jesus, always bring our struggles, our needs to her loving Son turning the ordinary water of life into the extraordinary wine of God’s love! My prayer for all of us today is that we too will find the gift of peace and joy through the intercession of Mary as we journey through life today and always. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Mary, Virgin and Mother, you who, moved by the Holy Spirit, welcomed the word of life in the depths of your humble faith: as you gave yourself completely to the Eternal One, help us to say our own “yes” to the urgent call, as pressing as ever, to proclaim the good news of Jesus. Filled with Christ’s presence, you brought joy to John the Baptist, making him exult in the womb of his mother. Brimming over with joy, you sang of the great things done by God. Standing at the foot of the cross with unyielding faith, you received the joyful comfort of the resurrection, and joined the disciples in awaiting the Spirit so that the evangelizing Church might be born. Obtain for us now a new ardour born of the resurrection, that we may bring to all the Gospel of life which triumphs over death. Give us a holy courage to seek new paths, that the gift of unfading beauty may reach every man and woman. Virgin of listening and contemplation, Mother of love, Bride of the eternal wedding feast, pray for the Church, whose pure icon you are, that she may never be closed in on herself or lose her passion for establishing God’s kingdom. Star of the new evangelization, help us to bear radiant witness to communion, service, ardent and generous faith, justice and love of the poor, that the joy of the Gospel may reach to the ends of the earth, illuminating even the fringes of our world. Mother of the living Gospel, wellspring of happiness for God’s little ones, pray for us. Amen. Alleluia! (Prayer by Pope Francis) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all! That God’s blessings will help our workday to go quickly, our vacation day to go slower, our travel day to go safely, and that whatever our day entails we may be blessed with good people, many smiles, much laughter and God’s love. Have a great Friday everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, here is our heart, here it is with all its secrets. Look into our thoughts, O God our hope, and take away all our wrong thinking and feelings. Let our eyes be ever on you and release our feet from whatever holds them from walking towards you. We ask you to live with us, to lead us, to make our hearts your holy temple, a fit dwelling for you our loving and merciful God. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that I hope we all will enjoy our day wherever we are and in whatever we are doing. And if things aren’t going so well today remember this, “every time we smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person and a beautiful thing” (St. Teresa of Calcutta). So, let us just smile and share the gift we are. May God bless us with a day filled with much joy, grace and God’s unconditional love. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Living God, for this reason we come before you, from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its name. We pray that out of your glorious riches you will strengthen us with power through your Spirit in our inner most being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. And we pray that we, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge. Now to you, our God, who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to your power that is at work within us, to you, our God, be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Adapted from the words of St. Paul Letter to the Ephesians) |
