Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My blessing prayer for all us this day is that God will touch our day with many blessings. May God bless our work, the people we encounter and love and us. Please know as you live life today you are in my prayers! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Let all the world praise you today and always. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by St. Hildegard of Bingen)

Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, our God, we are in the shadow of your wings. Protect us and bear us up. You will care for us as if we were little children, even to our old age. When you are our strength, we are strong; but when we are own strength, we are weak. Our good always lives in your presence, and we suffer when we turn our faces away from you. We now return to you, O Lord, that we may never turn away again. Amen (Prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)

Paul Today’s Prayer: O Mary, when you were born the world was made light. In your great love be merciful to us who are often sinners and give us strength and perseverance as we journey through this life. O joyous Mary, just as your nativity announced joy to the entire world, may it fill us with true joy and enliven our hope. Intercede for us, O loving Mary that the gift of your nativity may enliven God’s grace within us and help to say yes to his invitation to love. Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Ambrose of Milan)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that as all of us journey through Sunday it may it be a good one. May we live by faith today and trust in the gift that we are. May God recognize our faith and bless us with the trust and willingness to let go and let God. If we are struggling with our faith may we find the strength to trust in the presence of God in our life and know of the gift of the community of faith called Church that journeys with us. Blessings today upon all we do, upon everyone we encounter and most importantly upon all of us. Let us not forget to give God a little time today. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, grant that we may never fall away in success or in failure; that we may not be prideful in prosperity nor dejected in adversity. Let us rejoice only in what unites us and sorrow only in what separates us. May we strive to please no one or fear to displease anyone except you. May we see always the things that are eternal and never those that are only mundane. May we shun any joy that is without you and never seek any that is beside you. May we delight in any work we do for you and tire of any rest that is apart from you. Let us direct our hearts towards you, and in our failings, always repent with a purpose of improvement. Loving God may we always live by faith! Amen. (Adapted from a prayer by St. Thomas Aquinas) |
