Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these October Fall days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Once again, I will pray my daily blessing through the words of St. Paul’s from his Letter to the Ephesians. – And so my friends I pray that God will bless all of us today with the strength to live in a manner worthy of the call we have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with everyone we meet through love, always striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace; remembering that we are one Body, one Spirit, and that we are called to one Hope; that we believe in one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of us all, who is over all and through all and in all. May our one God bless us all today and always! Amen! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Come Lord! Come with us: see with our eyes, hear with our ears, think with our mind, love with our heart - in all the situations of our life. Work with our hands, our strength. Take, cleanse, possess, inhabit our will, our understanding, our love. Take us where you will, to do what you will, in your way. For where you are, there will your servants be. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by Evelyn Underhill)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these chilly October Fall days with faith and hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would like to wish everyone a Happy Feast of St. Paul of the Cross! It is just a great day to be a Passionist! My prayers are for all of you today as I celebrate the feast of our founder, in thanksgiving for all of your support over the years. I ask that you continue to pray for us so that we can keep his vision, his dream alive! I want to send a special blessing out to Alexis whose birthday is today. Alexis is one of my two goddaughters, and I am very proud of the woman she has become though I had nothing to do with it. I just want to send a special birthday blessing to Alexis! She is probably in the midst of being a mother and a teacher today so may she have a great day, and may God continue to bless her and her family! My prayer of blessing for all you today on this feast of St. Paul of the Cross is that God will bless all of us today through the intersession of St. Paul of the Cross. May God bless us and protect us today and always. May God’s face smile upon us. May God’s grace enter into all that we do. May we live today rich in a harvest of faith, hope and love which God has planted within us and may we always know that nothing can separate us from the love of God! Blessings to all. May the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in our hearts. Have a blessed, holy, and healthy Wednesday everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, for how many ages have You remained imprisoned upon Your cross and still we pass You by, ignoring You? How often have we overlooked Your tender presence in our life, paying little attention to Your great sorrow, Your pain, Your powerful Love? How often have we, by our ignorance added to Your sorrow, deepened Your pain and refused Your Love?
You constantly stretch forth Your hands to re-create us, to touch us with Your love, and still we close our eyes to Your presence and force you to remain imprisoned upon Your cross! Our names are written in Your heart forever and You will not allow us to run from Your love. Jesus, you have loved us with an everlasting love reflected in the power and compassion of Your cross. Let the love that flows from Your cross surround us, break down the walls of our fear, enliven our faith and fill our hearts with hope. Lord Jesus Christ crucified, teach us how to love as You have loved, even to the cross. May the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in our hearts. Amen! (Adapted from a Passionist Prayer) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today in every part of the world except the United States the Congregation of the Passion (Passionists) celebrate the feast of our founder St. Paul of the Cross. Here in the United States, we will celebrate his feast tomorrow. Why the difference, you might ask? Well, many years ago the Passionist provinces in the United States petitioned Rome for permission to move St. Paul of the Cross’ feast day from October 19th to the 20th because in the US on October 19th we also celebrate the feast of the Jesuit Martyrs St. John de Brebeuf, St. Isaac Jogues and Companions, often referred to as the North American Martyrs. Their feast in the United States and Canada always seemed to take precedence over St. Paul of the Cross. So, in moving St. Paul of the Cross’ feast to October 20th he stands alone. It is an odd situation, but we live with it. So, to all my Passionist sisters and brothers around the world happy Feast of St. Paul of the Cross and to all my Passionist sisters and brother in the United States I look forward to celebrating tomorrow! My prayer of blessing today is that wherever life has us and will take us today, whomever we will be with and whatever we will be doing will be blessed with the grace, love and presence of God. Let us enjoy our day, think positive thoughts, wear a smile and trust that God walks, runs, works, plays and journeys with us! Blessings to all. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, give us the strength and courage today and always to be your good and faithful servants. Grace us with the wisdom and spirit to use the gifts and talents you have entrusted us with to bring about your presence in everything we do and to everyone we meet. Help us to be faithful servants of your joy, mercy and love this day and always. Amen!

May this day be what we need it to be. May it be a gift from God that enables us to find the present of God in our life, especially within ourselves and may the spirit of St. Luke enliven the Word of God for us today and always. Have a holy and blessed Tuesday everyone. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, you inspired your servant Luke the Evangelist and Physician to set forth in the gospel the love and the healing power of your Son. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, he also showed the divinity of Jesus and his genuine compassion for all human beings.
May St. Luke intercede for us that we may deepen our understanding of the gospel and grow in compassion of Jesus. May his intercession enable us to follow your way and bring your healing and loving presents to all we meet this day and always. Amen. Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these October and Fall days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

Lord, teach me to be generous. Teach me to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to ask for reward, save that of knowing that I do your will. Amen (St Ignatius Loyola) |
