Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these now chilly November and Fall days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing for everyone today is that God will bless us with the grace of a love, of the gift of sight so that we might let go of the demons of terrorism, hate, racism, anger, bigotry and vengeance so that we might see all people as God’s gifts and have a faith that not only saves us but that brings peace to our life and the life of the world! Have a wonderful day and many blessings to see and love today and always! Peace in Christ's Passion…Fr. Paul

Paul Today’s Prayer: Gracious God, we humbly thank you for all your gifts so freely bestowed on us, for life and health and safety, for freedom to work and leisure to rest, and for all that is beautiful in creation and in human life. But, above all, we thank you for our Savior, Jesus Christ, for his death and resurrection, for the gift of your Spirit, and for the hope of glory. Fill our hearts with joy and peace in believing, trusting and love. Amen.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) For my blessing prayer today, I am going to use an old Irish Blessing and it is my prayer for all of us today – “Deep peace of the running wave to all of us. Deep peace of the flowing air to all of us. Deep peace of the quiet earth to all of us. Deep peace of the shining stars to all of us. Deep peace of the Son of Peace to all of us.” Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Father, the one who knew no sin was made sin for us, to save us and restore us to your friendship. Look upon our contrite heart and afflicted spirit and heal our troubled conscience, so that in the joy and strength of the Holy Spirit we may proclaim your praise and glory before all the nations. Amen. (Adapted from the Psalm Prayer for Friday Week IV Prayer of Christians)

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would like to send a shout out to my sister, Bernadette and my brother-in-law, John as celebrate their 49th Wedding Anniversary today! Happy Anniversary! Many blessings today and always. Hopefully, you will take some time and celebrate today. As we celebrate this Veteran’s Day, I ask God to bless us all today with a sense of reverence for life and the presence of God. There were many women and men who served our country by giving their life and we ask God to hold them today and always in his eternal hands. Countless others served yet returned home with shattered lives and we ask God’s mercy and healing for them. Finally, we ask God to help us to learn to live Isaiah’s words and beat our swords, guns, bombs into plowshares and our spears and other instruments of violence into pruning hooks, saws, drills, presses; that one nation shall not raise the instruments of violence against another, nor shall we train for war again. I would like to remember especially my father and uncle Joe who both served during World War II. My prayer of blessing for all us today is – Loving God, giver of all good gifts, bless us today with hearts that love you, so that by deepening our sense of respect and reverence for you we may nurture within ourselves and others only what is good. Bless us with your watchful care throughout this day so that wherever we go and whatever we do it will be for you. Bring us home safe to those we love that we might celebrate the gift of family, of friendship, of community, of your love so that our sleep will be restful, and we will be energized to welcome you tomorrow! Blessings upon everyone as you journey through this day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O Lord, your word is as firm as the heavens, keep us always united that firmly to you. Then we will experience how blessed are those whose help comes from you. Where we are blind, you will enable us to see. May your kingdom always extend over us, your kingdom of strength and sweetness. Amen! (Adapted from a prayer by Fr. Carroll Stuhlmueller, C.P.)
