Today’s Prayer: Loving Jesus, you have no body now on earth but mine, no hands but mind and no feet but mine. Mine are the eyes through which you look out with compassion on the world. Mine are the feet with which you go about doing good. Mine are the hands with which you bless people now. Jesus you have no body now on earth but mine so through me bless the world today. Amen! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope your day has started off well and if not know that I am praying that it gets better! It is a sunny day here in the New York area. the temperature is a bit cooler than yesterday and I am not complaining! I hope the weather by you is life-giving today.
My prayer of blessing this morning is that our day will be blessed with the presence of God. May our travels, our encounters, our work, our interactions with others be touched with the grace of God and may our living of life today bring us a little closer to the peace Jesus has left for us. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord, make us instruments of your peace, where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen. (Adapted from the Prayer known as the Prayer of St. Francis) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all! I hope your Monday is starting off well. It is a warm morning here in the New York area. We had some storms through the night but right now there are some clouds but also some sun. My guess is that it is going to be a nice day. I hope the same is true by you today.
My prayer of blessing today is that God’s grace, blessing and presence will abound in us today. May our day be blessed with the richness of God’s peace, hope, joy and love. May we find the energy to make a joyful noise for God with our life today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Grant us today, Lord, the wisdom to know what is worth knowing, to love what is worth loving, to praise what delights you most, to value what is precious in your sight, to walk away from what is not of you. Do not let us judge by what we see, nor pass judgment by what we hear, but help us to choose rightly between things that differ and above all to search out and do what pleases you. Help us to make this day and our life about praising you. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Sunday is starting off well. We have some sun but also some dark clouds this morning here in the New York area so I am not sure what this day will bring. I hope the weather by you today is life-giving!
I have mass today at noon at the Parish of St. John and St. Mary in Chappaqua. The rest of the day hopefully will be quite and restful. My prayer today is that God will bless us with an enjoyable Sunday especially if you are among family and/or friends. May God’s love for us be visible throughout the day and offer us some rest and relaxation so that we might be ready to live a new week by sharing God’s love! I will leave you this Sunday morning with these thoughts from Thomas Merton, “Love is the guarantee that the life of the Spirit is growing in us. Love is the sign of the Holy Spirit at work in the Church and in the world.” So may God bless us with much love today and may we love much today. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Help me, O God, to be a good and true friend, to be loyal and never to ley my friends down: never to talk about them behind their backs in a way that I would not do to their faces; never to betray a confidence or talk about things I should be silent about; always to be ready to share everything I have; to be as true to my friends as I would wish them to be to me. This I ask for the sake of him who is the greatest and truest of all friends, for Jesus’ sake. Amen. (A prayer by William Barclay)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greeting and blessings to all! I hope you will get to enjoy a beautiful, sun filled and warm Saturday. The sun is out here in the New York area this morning and the temperature is to be warmer than yesterday. I hope the same is true by you!
We had a good final taping day yesterday and now we have the summer off to relax a little. I am most grateful for all the people involved in the production and celebration of The Sunday Mass. Today will be a quiet day however I will be celebrating mass at the Wartburg Home this afternoon. As we enter our day, I pray that our life and our day will be blessed with the Spirit of God’s presence in the people we meet, the places we go and, in the things, we do. May we come to know God today through the living of life and may our living of life today be filled with joy. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all good gifts, we thank you for the gift of life - for the breath that sustains us, for the food that nurtures us and for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life.
We thank you for the mystery of creation - for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold because it fills the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities - for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. We thank you for this day - for life, for one more day to love, for the opportunity to work one more day for justice and peace, for neighbors, for one more person to love and by whom be loved, for your grace and one more experience of your presence, for your promise to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, loving God. Amen. (Adapted from Prayer of Thanksgiving on beliefnet.com) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings this morning. I hope your day is starting off well. It is to be a sunny day here in the New York area. The temperatures will be in the 70’s. We seem to have hit a stretch of rather nice weather and believe me I am not complaining. I hope the same is true for you!
Today is out last taping day of the season. We have four masses to tape today. I would ask you to keep the crew and all who minister at The Sunday Mass in your prayers so that we have a good and successful day. My prayer of blessing is that God will bless all of us this day with the Spirit of knowing the way and throughout our work, our travels and our interaction with others that our hearts will not be troubled because we have faith in God and in Jesus always. May God’s blessings be upon our Friday, and upon our weekend. May we all have a productive, peaceful, and Spirit filled day. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul |
