Today’s Prayer: Gracious God, who made the covenant promise with our ancestors, we begin this day a rebellious people. We want to act out your intentions for us, but we keep getting mixed up by all the glitter of the world around us. You tell us to honor creation, and we use other people, animals and plant life only to meet our wants. You offer daily bread to every living creature, and we steal that bread from our sisters and brothers in the name of greed. You promise us new life, and we shrink back from it is fear. Heal us, God, lest we destroy ourselves. We need your presence among us. Amen. (Adapted from the United Nations Environmental Sabbath Prayer)

Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope your day has started off well. It looks a bit cloudy here in the New York area, but they say it is to be a sunny day but with a chance of rain. At least the temperatures are getting a little warmer!
Today is a set-up day for our Sunday Mass taping day tomorrow. Before I head to our house in Jamaica this morning, I have to wait for the Rotto Rudder guy to come and clean out our sewer pipe. Oh, the joys of being responsible for the day to day life of a house! My prayer of blessing today is that all of us will have a great Thursday filled with many blessings and graced with many moments that will put a smile on our faces. Please know that you are in my prayers today and always. Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, author of life and freedom, hear us as we call upon you to help guide us through life today. Help us to trust in your loving presence so that we will be true to the “character” that you have created us to be. May we never be afraid to ask for your help especially when we are not sure which way to go. Give us the strength to not be troubled by the anger and negativity of the world, but to have faith and hope in you. Grace us with the energy to live life with truth and authenticity. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope your Wednesday is starting off well and that your week has been a good one so far. If you missed our livestream show, Through The Cross with Fr. Paul yesterday afternoon remember you can always go to The Sunday Mass website and click on Through The Cross at the top of the page and watch the program. I think it was a good show yesterday. Be well and safe everyone in your journey through life today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, strength of the faithful, grace us once again with your light today. Help us to see your presence around us and within us. Gift us with your Word, a Word that we not only hear but also proclaim. May we become your light of hope to a world darkened by terror, tragedy, violence, anger, evil and fear. May we be directed by your light of life today and in the living of life always praise you! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings everyone and happy feast of St. Matthias! I hope your day has started off well. It is another cloudy morning here in the New York area and I think there is a chance for rain again today. I am hoping that we see the sun at least a little today and the temperature gets a little warmer. I hope the weather is a little by you today.

Peace in Christ’s Passion and Hope in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving Jesus, you have no body now on earth but mine, no hands but mind and no feet but mine. Mine are the eyes through which you look out with compassion on the world. Mine are the feet with which you go about doing good. Mine are the hands with which you bless people now. Jesus you have no body now on earth but mine so through me bless the world today. Amen! (Adapted from St. Teresa of Avila)
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Monday, your week, has started off on the right foot. If not, I pray your fortunes will change as the day and the week goes on.
My day here in the New York area begins with clouds, cool temperatures and most likely rain. It is the beginning of a busy day and a busy week. It would be nice if the sun were out and the temperature was about 20 degrees warmer, but I have much to do so I will look beyond the clouds, the rain and the coolness to the tasks at hand. I hope the weather where you are is a bit more motivating! My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless our day with a strong faith, the hope of a new day and week and the love of many people in our life. Many we be blessed with God’s presence in our travels, our work and our encounters with others. May we be graced with much love from the people who mean the most in our life! Blessings upon everyone have a great Monday and a great week. You can be assured of my prayers as we journey through this week. May God bless us with the gift of bringing God’s joy to the world today! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Christ…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, you have brought us the gift of abundant life. Give us eyes that can look beyond the glamor and trivia of the world to the richness of your loving presence as it comes to us in others, creation and ourselves. Grace us with hope so that we will not give into despair, anger, vengeance, hate and fear but through hope we will find the joy, grace and life you came to give us. May we come to know the full measure of life that you have promised and bring it to others! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all and Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers today! I hope your Sunday is getting off to a good start. Here in the New York area we are to expect rain and cool temperatures, not the best weather day for a Mother’s Day! I hope the weather by you is better and please remember as you journey through your Mother’s Day give God a little time today!
In a little while I will be headed out to St. John and St. Mary’s Parish in Chappaqua, New York for the 7:30 am and 12 noon masses after which I will head back home to begin preparation for a very busy week ahead. I would like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers living and remember in a special way all mothers who are deceased, and all mothers who have touched our lives throughout the years. I would also like to remember expectant mothers as they prepare and wait for new life. I hope all of you are having a great day and that you get the chance to honor your mother and all the mothers who have touched your life in some way. I always find it special honor my own mother as I celebrate mass and I will most happy to do that today. I pray that we all will have a great Mother’s Day touched by the presence of God and if we are traveling today that we will do so safely. May all our encounters with others and our time alone today be rich in the joy of God grace and love. May God’s blessing be upon all mothers especially those who are expecting, and may we celebrate the gifts that all mothers offer us and touch our lives with today in a very special way. May God bless this day, and may it be a day of blessings that will help us to encounter the joy of life, especially the joy mothers bring into our lives!
