Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greeting and blessing to all. I hope your day has started off well. I get the sense it is going to be another cloudy day here in the New York area with rain moving in during the evening hours. May the weather be a bit better wherever you are.
My prayer of blessing for us today is a simple litany asking God to help us along the way – Loving God, we pray for your blessing today in the midst of our busy life. If we find ourselves struggling with the heat of summer reminds us of the cold days of winter. If we are under the weather touch us with your healing presence. If we are busy guide us to a moment of peace. If we are frustrated grace us with an acknowledgement of the gift that you are. If we find ourselves angry today help us to let it go. If we find ourselves alone embrace us so that we know that are not. O God bless us with what we need to live our life this day! May we live with a sense of gratitude today so that we will be blessed with a good day and graced with God’s love in all our endeavors. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer:
Loving God, we come before you in grateful prayer today. We are grateful for this moment of life. We are grateful for each breath we take. We are grateful for our life. And so, we thank you for our challenges for they help us to grow. We thank you for our many gifts for they help us to smile. We thank you for our many circles of support for they hold our hand. We thank you for our body for it is our vehicle of living. We thank you for our heart for it reminds us to love. We thank you for our mind for its abundance. We thank you for our friendship with you for it inspires us. Loving God, we thank you and we are grateful for life and the opportunity to live it with you! Amen. Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend and that in the busyness of life you got a little rest and relaxation.
With all the craziness going on in our world, our country and our Church my prayer of blessing today for all of you is that God will bless your day with peace. That the blessing of peace will be in your travels, your relationships, your activities, your encounters with others, your work and within you! Have a great Monday everyone and may God bless you with a day gifted in peace, joy, laughter and much love! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
O Loving God, today we pray three things, to see you more clearly, to love you more dearly, and to follow you more nearly, day by day. Amen! (Adapted from the Godspell Song - Day By Day) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. I hope your Sunday is starting off well. Mine is starting off early as I travel to Chappaqua, NY in a few minutes to celebrate the 7:30, 10 and Noon masses.
The weather is supposed to break today with temperatures only in the 70’s but that remains to be seen or should I say felt! I hope the weather by you is cooperating though I know some place are very hot, some places are dry and dealing with deadly fires. I just hope and pray you can find some goodness, joy, beauty and rest wherever you are today. I pray that God’s blessing will be upon your Sunday filling it with the richness of joy, hope and the goodness of God’s presence. May today be filled with God’s Holy Spirit that will enable you to get busy about living life! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
O Lord, when we receive you we accept our day just as it is. We do not need to have any lofty feelings in our heart to recount to you. We can lay our day before you just as it is, for we receive it from you yourself, the day and its inward light, the day and all its meaning, the day and the power to endure it, the pure awareness of it, which becomes the faint vision of your eternal life. (Adapted from a prayer by Fr. Karl Rahner, S.J.) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all. It is going to be another hot, humid and rainy day here in the New York area. Storm pasted through late last night and early this morning, but the humidity did not break. Perhaps it will tomorrow. I hope if you are outside the New York area that the weather is a little more life giving and energizing by you.
My prayer of blessing for all of you today is that your weekend will be a restful and relaxing far from the busyness that life often heaps upon us. I pray you have had a good weekend whether you are working, vacationing or traveling. I also pray that your day will be blessed with people that will gift your life with laughter, smiles and fun. Don’t forget to give a little time to God this weekend. Remember one hour is not a lot of time and God will appreciate hearing from you! Blessings to all today and throughout the weekend, be safe if you are traveling and don’t forget to smile. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, help us today and always, as Jesus said, to become a child once again. Help us to know that we are loved by you. Help us to let go of pride and pretense. Help us to trust so that we can let go of all our futile and unnecessary attempts to prove that we are worthy of your love. Let us know the humble prayer of being your much-loved child. Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all! It is another day with a heat advisory here in the New York are. If you are outside the New York area I hope things are a little cooler and less humid for you!
My prayer of blessing today is that God will bless your Friday with the richness of his presence, mercy, joy and peace. That God’s blessings will help your work day to go quickly, your vacation day to go slower, your travel day to go safely, and that whatever your day entails you may be blessed with good people, many smiles, much laughter and God’s love. Have a great Friday everyone. Stay cool. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, here is our heart, here it is with all its secrets. Look into our thoughts, O God our hope, and take away all our wrong thinking and feelings. Let our eyes be ever on you and release our feet from whatever holds them from walking towards you. We ask you to live with us, to lead us, to make our hearts your holy temple, a fit dwelling for you our loving and merciful God. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. Augustine of Hippo)
