Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all. I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As for today’s blessing I once again call upon spirits Mary and Elizabeth to focus us and remind us throughout this day that God is always with us. Loving God bless us all this day with the echoes of Elizabeth’s words to Mary, “How does it happen that the mother of my Lord, should come to me?” Make these words our own today, O God, for by your blessing of creation we all carry around in us the gift of your presence. May the story of Mary and Elizabeth remind us of your presence in our lives and give us the strength to give your gift to everyone we encounter today and always. May God bless us all today. Have a blessed and holy Monday everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Loving God, like Elizabeth in today’s Gospel we pause in gratitude for the many visits that Mary has made to our lives. We give thanks for those visits as they were made present by our own mothers. With the gift of life, our mothers carried us in their wombs and gave us life. Like Mary and Elizabeth, they tenderly, patiently cared for us and taught us to walk and talk. They read to us and made us laugh. No one delighted in our successes more; no one could comfort us better in our failures. We are grateful as we remember the gift of Mary during our journey to Christmas, for how our mothers, nurtured us and mentored us, and even disciplined us.
In the spirit of Mary and Elizabeth, please bless our mothers and all mothers, Lord, whether they are living or deceased. Comfort them, help them to have loving hearts and to continue to love and give of themselves to others. Strengthen them when they are down and give them hope when they are discouraged. Most of all, God, during the seasons of Advent and Christmas, give all mothers the graces they most need and desire. We pray this, grateful for the gifts of Mary and Elizabeth and all mothers in the name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen! PS Loving God just two more things, in the spirit of Mary and Elizabeth bless all expecting mothers and all women who want to conceive too! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. In these final days before Christmas, I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As we celebrate this Fourth Sunday of Advent, as we recall Elizabeth and Mary’s meeting and Elizabeth’s response to hearing Mary’s voice and the presence of God she found in that voice. Let us ask God to bless us with the faith and trust of Elizabeth and Mary today. Bless us, O God, in the loving spirits of Elizabeth and Mary; bless us today body and soul; bless our dreams, our words and our actions; bless our journeys; bless all that we have and all that we are that we will always live our lives to your greater honor. Bless us with the grace of your mercy to be compassionate, forgiving and hopeful that all you have called us to be will bring about your presence in our lives and in the lives of all we meet. Help us to be gentle and kind especially when many around us are not. Gift us with the grace to say “yes” even when we are unsure where it will take us. Help us to trust in your ever-present love. Amen. Sunday blessings to all! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God of Christmas wonder, grace us with the humble caring faith and trusting wisdom of Elizabeth and Mary. May we too listen to our hearts and respond to the voice of God in our lives so that we to will always say “yes” to God’s invitation as we continue our journey through this life to the gift of everlasting life. Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As I mentioned about with the completion of our taping day yesterday most of my ministry responsibilities are done for the year except for Christmas Eve and Day masses and various weekday and weekend masses from now to the first of the year and anything else that might come up in the next 10 days or so. I hope that these last days of Advent will give you a chance to pause and ready yourself spiritually for the gift of Christmas at home or wherever you will travel to. May this Christmas truly be a blessed and holy one for all! It is in the spirit of the “O Antiphons” that I offer my daily blessing – O Root of Jesse's stem, bless us this day with the confidence, the faith, the trust and the hope to always respond with a “yes” to your invitation to live life. Help us to be people of joy, of peace and of commitment. Grace us with the strength to move beyond negativity of this world and see the possible in the impossible. Protected us today, in our travels, our endeavors, in our busyness and gift us with many experiences of your love. Loving God bless us all this day and always. Amen. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God, graciously reveal your love to the world today. May we embrace with integrity of faith the gift of your life and help make the impossible, possible. Help us and our world to find peace. Help us and our world to value all life. Help us and our world to find your presence within us today. O God be with us today! Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Before I offer a blessing for today, I would just like to say Happy Birthday to my oldest niece and goddaughter, Alice. Alice, may you have a wonderful day and a year filled with many new experiences and blessings. Much love your Uncle Paul! Also, I would ask your prayers today for The Sunday Mass ministry and production team. We have our December taping day today. So, if you could offer a little prayer for us that everything goes smoothly it would be greatly appreciated! In the spirit of our readings today I pray that God will bless us with a spirit of wisdom so that we can understand the “dream” that God has for us and that we will be blessed with the grace to live out that dream! May God gift us with compassion and generosity today so that we might bring Emmanuel, God with us, wherever we go and to whomever we meet. May we always be a family, a Church, a faith community bound together by a dream of mercy, justice, forgiveness, reconciliation and love. Blessing to all today and always! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O sacred Lord of ancient Israel, come, fill our hearts with the light of your Holy Spirit so that we might not be afraid of your word, your invitation to live. Give us the humility to hold fast to your will and thus allow Christ to be born with in us today and every day. For we believe nothing is impossible for You our loving God! Amen!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today we begin the “O Antiphons” which can be found as our Gospel Acclamation at mass or during evening prayer of the Church as the acclamation for the Canticle of Mary and we are a week away from beginning our celebration of Christmas. So, you might say that we have begun the downhill roll to Christmas and the New Year! My prayer of blessing today is that God’s blessing will be upon all of us. O God of Mercy enliven us with your Wisdom and touch our spirits with your grace, so to enable us to bring the Good News in word and deed wherever we go and to whomever we meet. O loving God bless us, so all our encounters this day are safe, and through your Wisdom help us to live this day in your presence and rest this night in your peace. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: God, creator and redeemer of humankind, you decreed, and your Word became flesh, born of the Virgin Mary. May we come to share the divinity of Christ, who humbled himself to share in our human nature, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. Amen.
