Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all today. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Before I offer a blessing for today, I would just like to say Happy Birthday to my oldest niece and goddaughter, Alice. Alice, may you have a wonderful day and a year filled with many new experiences and blessings. Much love your Uncle Paul! Also, I would ask your prayers today for The Sunday Mass ministry and production team. We have our December taping day today. So, if you could offer a little prayer for us that everything goes smoothly it would be greatly appreciated! In the spirit of our readings today I pray that God will bless us with a spirit of wisdom so that we can understand the “dream” that God has for us and that we will be blessed with the grace to live out that dream! May God gift us with compassion and generosity today so that we might bring Emmanuel, God with us, wherever we go and to whomever we meet. May we always be a family, a Church, a faith community bound together by a dream of mercy, justice, forgiveness, reconciliation and love. Blessing to all today and always! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
