Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday greetings and blessings to all! As always, I hope and pray you are navigating through these Lenten days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I want to thank you for all your prayers this week during my mission here at Holy Rosary – St. Richard Parish. We closed the mission last night and all three days saw a wonderful spirit here. I will spend a portion of my St. Patrick’s Day traveling back to New York from Miami. I will miss the faith community here and the warm weather! In honor of St. Patrick’s Day an old Irish blessing, may God give you, for every storm, a rainbow, for every tear, a smile. For every care, a promise; a blessing for every trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh, a sweet song, and an answer for every prayer. Have a great Thursday and St. Patrick’s Day everyone and my prayer of blessing today goes out to everyone that you may encounter the love of God in some special way today; through the gesture of another person, through an experience of life, through an encounter with God within yourself. May God’s love enliven a well-spring of joy within you that you can share with all you meet today. And may you find the joy and mercy of God within you and share it with the world! May today be a day of many blessings and a day without too much stress! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
