Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thursday blessings and greetings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these early days of Fall with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I would like to send a special shout out to my grandniece Emilia on her birthday today. Happy Birthday Emilia! Many blessings today and always. Have a great day! Know you are in my prayers always. My prayer of blessing today is adapted from the Irish tradition - May God bless all of us today so that the road rises up to meet us and makes our journeys swift and easy. May the wind be always at our back to aid us on our way. May the sun shine warm upon our face. And if the rain does have to fall may it be soft upon the land and upon us. And may we be truly blessed by God holding us in the palm of his hand throughout this day and always! Have a great day everyone. May it truly be blessed with many wonderful experiences, many gifted and loving people and the energy that a new day can bring. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
