Today’s Blessing Prayer: Friday greetings and blessings to all and Happy Solemnity of the Annunciation! Today we certainly call upon the presence and intercession of Mary to enliven our life with hope and joy and to help bring an end to the War in the Ukraine! We ask Mary to change the hearts filled with hate, violence, and war to hearts filled with peace.
As always, I hope you are navigating through these Lenten and late March days with faith and hope in the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today’s blessing prayer goes out to you through the intercession of Mary. I pray that God will bless us all with the faith and hope of Mary so that our lives too can be a “yes” to God! I also pray that God will bless all mothers today in gratitude for their “yes”! And a special prayer of blessing for all expecting mothers. Blessings on all women for the life they bring to the world! And through the intercession of Mary, I ask for God’s healing to come upon our world at this time of struggle and war. Have a blessed, holy, safe and healthy day everyone and may God’s blessing and Mary’s presence be with you! And please join Pope Francis in prayer at sometime during your day. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
