Today’s Blessing Prayer: Monday greetings and blessings to all and happy Valentine’s Day! Also, I hope your team won yesterday. If not, there is always next year! I am sure many people are moving slowly today after a long day of Super Bowl partying yesterday. May your day unfold slowing if that is the case.
I hope and pray you are continuing to navigate through these mid-February days with faith and a hopefulness for the future. Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Once again, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! May God’s blessing of love touch your life this day through another person and or your journey of life through this day! Remember - “Perfect Love casts out fear.” (1 John 4:18) As we begin this new day with perhaps a busy week ahead, my prayer of blessing for all of us is that our day will be rich in what matters to God. That every encounter, every journey, every experience, every meeting, every task and every person we meet will be blessed with God’s presence. I pray that we will have moments of peace that will help us to hear, feel and know the presence of God is with and within us. If we are traveling today, may we travel safe. No matter what our day will bring let us smile often and know that we are a gift today and always! May we have many blessings throughout the day and “Always tell of God's love. If necessary, using words.” (St. Francis of Assisi). Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
