Today’s Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are continuing to navigate through these late October Fall days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My retreat with a group of women at the Cormaria Retreat House in Sag Harbor, NY ends today. Please keep the women on retreat in your prayers as they finish and travel home and if you could say a little prayer for the preacher and his travels home it would be appreciated. I offer this prayer and blessing for you today...This is the Day that God has made let us rejoice and be glad. May there always be work for us to do. May our pockets and purses always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine warm on our windowpanes. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of family, a loved one and a friend always be near and may God fill our hearts with gladness and love that we in turn can share! May God’s blessing be upon us all today and always. Don’t forget to give God a little time today after all it is Sunday! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
