Today's Blessing Prayer: Sunday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these unusual and at times difficult days. It is the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and I know this Memorial Day weekend feels different than those of the past but let us not forget to remember all who have given their lives in service of our country. May they be a peace now with God!
Once again as we journey through this uncertain time, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that our Sunday will be touched by the presence of God. May all our encounters with others and our time alone today be rich in the joy of God grace and love. May God’s blessing be upon all of us and may God bless this day so that we all can encounter the joy of life in some way. And do not forget to give God a little time today and if you happen to be traveling today please travel safely.! Peace in Christ’s Passion and Joy in the Risen Lord…Fr. Paul
